Duh, yeah I guess I should have checked that. Very surprising, only 1402#. It's very concerning when you do the math with trailer tongue weight, cargo, and passengers how often you at or over the limit.
I'm having a heck of a time figuring out my true payload capacity of my 2010 EB 2x2. Google and you get numbers that have quite the range. I've seen 1,822 to 1,895 to
1670 lbs. Any idea?
Trying to figure out if I can take my big self and 3 or 4 nephews safely while towing for a camping trip...
Yep, forgot about that. 2010 Eddie Bauer Expy. After more investigation I'm pretty sure as you say its the dreaded actuator buried down deep. I've watch all the videos I can on the various "hack" jobs you can do but not sure if I'm willing to do that.
I guess I'll reach out to my local dealers...
Took some pics and video. The clicking happens at two points, when you start the vehicle and if you go from hot-to cold setting on the driver side temperature control. I can feel the clicking through the black device where the blend motor attaches, but seems to be a secondary motor?
Ok, this...
Resurrecting this old thread. I've got the popping noise behind my dash and after doing my homework I assumed it was the blend-door actuator motor that you can find youtube videos all over the place to replace simple enough. But, now that I have the old part out and I started the car with no...
Hit the road last weekend with the trailer and made another adjustment, moving the WDH bars up one level (highest level). After hooking up and loaded and about to take off I found that the front axle was down about 1/4 of an inch more than it should and the rear was sitting about an inch and...
Been watching a few YouTube videos on WDH setups and saw a dealership mention that they suggest to turn off any anti-sway software on the tow vehicle when using a WDH. What's the consensus on this?
Just buy a Limited or above trim level in those years and you will have the HD tow package included. Unless you really want cloth seats and less amenities.
A 20mph cross wind will never be fun that is for sure. But I would definitely call Husky. I think you are still too light in the front. There needs to be more adjustments that can be done to correct that.
My 2010 EB Expy needs some touch up to it's camel interior plastic. The airbag cover has black coming through. Has anyone had success finding a touch up paint that matches the Ford Camel interior?
TX, I've been going through the same issues with my set up as well. It's definitely a pain in the rear no pun intended. My set up is pretty similar, similar sized camper, same sag. I have the equalizer hitch and it's similar to the Husky in style and I'm pulling with a 2010 Expy with HD-tow...
Have you tried moving up the bar settings on the trailer side? I did and it helped quite a bit. Front end didn't move much but rear sag was reduced quite a bit.
I went through this same thing regarding trying to find an aftermarket air system for my 2010 EB. I'm curious to see how the airbagit and airlyft systems work. In my case I'm pulling a 30ft travel trailer and using an Equalizer brand wdh. As mentioned, a little bit of sag is ok according to the...
Did the monroe strut swaps today on all 4 corners today and man am I beat. Helper backed out so was solo. I was figuring 6 hours, but took 10 plus a busted impact driver and two trips to the parts store.
Anyhow, seems from what I read that most people suggest an alignment when done due to the...
Well, I stopped by one of the local Ford dealerships just now and they said it would be cost prohibitive and to look for aftermarket. Said the computer would need to be swapped and so forth. So much for a seamless easy upgrade.
Any recommendations for an aftermarket airspring system?
I know many people convert to a spring system but is anyone out there happy with the air springs system? Still looking to figure out a cost on this if even possible. Curious if it can be installed into the truck and work with the system in the truck already?
I'm curious if it's possible to add the factory air suspension to my 2010 Expy EB? I know there are after market options out there, but I'm just curious if the factory kit could be added without breaking the bank? Anyone ever gone that route?
Speaking of aftermarket, for some reason 2010 seems...
Chuck, how many washers are you using in your setup in these pics? I'm definitely going to raise my ball hitch and right now I have 7 washers and just now moved up the ball the same height I see as you. I don't know my tounge weight, so I'm not sure how it's going to change the dynamics. I'm...
Chuck, I think I'll play with the setting some more since I think you could be right but when I did talk to the Equalizer support guys, they said that sag was "ok" as long as the front axle wasn't too high or too low of the allowable margin. My last adjustment I have 6 washers and I went up one...
8mpg here towing my 27'(30' total) 7,000 tt. Just got back from a 2000 mile Miami to Smokies and back trip. 65mph is the sweet spot for me, anything more gas goes down even more and the trailer gets more squirrely. Wish I could say it was all smooth sailing, but I did have issues with burned up...
Been looking online and every site that I see that sells any brand of rear-air bag lift system never has any results for a 2010 Expy. Mine is an EB, 2x4 and when I tow my RV there is quite a bit of sag that I'd like to eliminate. I do use an Equalizer tow system, but the rear end still sags...
