    Sunroof repair

If I remember I did not remove the vents, just dropped the headliner, slid it back a bit and left it in the truck. Good luck with it as it was a nightmare, so much so that once I finished, test once, and removed the fuse and have not opened it since. Scared it'll break again and I'll have to...

Expedition MAX Trim for Camper Towing

Curious how a CCD suspension works with a WDH system? Do they play nice?

Does this 2011 Expedition have the HD towung package-Pics

It's possible. It'll take more investigation. My 2010 with HD tow doesn't have a built in brake controller. Not sure what year they started added them so it's possible a 2011 would not have it yet either. You have a 7 point connector, but that could have been added by another, but it's a clue...

    Stiffer Suspension

I put Monroe Quick Struts all around and have been happy. They were stiffer than stock and helped with towing. I also added SUMO spacers, and Helwig sway bars front and back. The combo of the three plus a dialed in WDH have vastly changed my towing experience.

2010 expedition el limited tow mirrors

Why not just use add on mirrors and avoid the hassle? I've been using these for years on my 2010 and they work great. Tow Mirrors

    Sunroof repair

Just pull the fuse. It's listed in the manual which one. After I went though a massive repair of my sunroof on my own I pulled the fuse. No need to go through that mess again.

    2009 Acceleration Issues

Replace plugs and coils. Get the socket plug, several extensions, be gentle with the breaking of the seal on the plugs and use dielectric grease. It's a pretty simple job. That plus clean the throttle body and you'll see a world of differnce.

    Anderson Weight Dist users

I got my Hellwigs from Summit... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/HEL-7696 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/HEL-7688 For the SumoSprings, there are too many variables I think with regards to gaps in the springs. So I believe on the Sumo site there is instuctions to measure the gap between...

Real world towing MPG 23 expedition TERRIBLE

Slowing down would make a huge difference. Set at 65 and leave it. And how many miles you got? Did you fully break in the Expy before adding larger wheels much less towing a travel trailer? The weight of the trailer isn't making much difference for the MPG, it's the flat air-dam front...

Photos of Trailer(s) that you tow with your Expedition

I think it depends on how many your putting in the tow vehicle? You're Expy can do the job, unless you're packing in 4 adults and kids or something like that. But with the HD tow package and getting the WDH set up right I think you'll be fine with the Expy. From my understanding the 19' Expy...

Photos of Trailer(s) that you tow with your Expedition

I tow with a just slightly lighter 27RBDS Winnebago that is 30' LOA, 6400 dry, 7700 gw with my older 2010 Eddie Bauer with HD tow. Let me tell you it took a couple of years to really get it dialed in. That first year was defintiely white knuckle driving as the WDH hitch was not set correctly...

Towing question / charging trailer battery

Not sure about a special part, more like a fuse in place. If you have a HD tow package and a 7-pin plug it should charge the trailer battery while on the road. You do not want to leave the RV plugged to the car at camp, it will draw from the truck and can also cause issues if you plug in the...

Travel Trailer for full time rv living

4 kids, 2 adults, 2 dogs. You Will have a hard time finding the right trailer or tow vehicle for that. Forget the Expedition, with that payload alone in the truck you'll be towing a 23' trailer to be in line with the payload of the truck. But that trailer will be way too small for 6 individuals...

ACTUATOR/BLEND DOOR LESSONS LEARNED FRONT AND REAR

I did the nightmare driver actuator 2 years ago. To make this work I had to use a saws-all with an extended blade and a mini hack-saw as well. Removed center console, cut out the ac ducting under the seats, cut strut on left of blend motor, cut off lower heat duct on passenger side, broke out...

    Looking at 2019-4x4 & 2021-4x2 Limited, 303a Stealth package

Going to be a whole lot more than a little bit. This market correction has a very long way to go. It's estimated used cart market shot up 40%-60% since 2019. Analysts are expecting prices to correct itself to at least half if not more. We got a long way to go till that happens, well into 2024...

    Looking at 2019-4x4 & 2021-4x2 Limited, 303a Stealth package

Agree. If you need one, you need one. Just make sure you go into negotiations knowing what's on the horizon. You'll probably get a better deal than you realize. Dealers are about to be in a bad spot on their used inventory. The vehicles on the lot are losing values daily and their advertising...

    Looking at 2019-4x4 & 2021-4x2 Limited, 303a Stealth package

I wouldn't buy anything right now. Not sure if you're aware but the used market in just starting it's marketing correction. Wholesale prices are dropping 1% every 2 weeks. It's estimated that used market will drop another 20% at a minimum by year end. I was in the market for a used Platinum, but...

    Question on Sway and Tires

You must learn to use a CAT scale and take the set up when loaded for a trip. I'm pretty sure you're going to find your issues there. As mentioned above, get the suspension checked out. See how old the current springs/shocks are and consider replacing with new if they are old. Then I would add...

Expediton Vs. 23 Yukon Denali Ultimate

Perhaps I'm wrong but It's my understanding that the cam phaser issue is not solved. No solution, just fixing with the same issues down the road.

Expediton Vs. 23 Yukon Denali Ultimate

Geez, yep just went down the Chevy/GMC rabbit hole and there is some major issues with the lifters on these V8 motors and it seems to be still happening to 22's as well. Just can't win, go with Ford you got major issues that don't seem to have a long working solution, or go with rival brand and...

Expediton Vs. 23 Yukon Denali Ultimate

I'm starting to stray from just the Expedition lane on my next purchase. There just seems to be way too many issues with the 4th Gen Expy for my liking. I always buy "like new" so I've had my sights on low mileage 19'-20' Expys. They're in a price range I could tolerate. But with all these...

Why's that? I use cc all the time when towing my 30' travel trailer in flat Florida. Anyplace that is hilly I don't.

Does anyone use the door code instead of key to access vehicle?

One of my favorite Ford features, I use it all the time. Gym, grocery store, hikes, you name it. I got 20 keys on my ring, I don't need that weight.

    Adaptive Cruise Control, owner feedback...

How's the Adaptive Cruise Control so far on the 4th gen working for owners that use it? I thought I heard you can tow and use it by design? Anyone use it while towing? Our Mazda CX-5 has it and it works great for long trips. I know some people hate it, but I have it as a "must have" for myself...
