    Cold Water Leak

Sorry! reread your post I see you have an Eddie Bauer 03 and replaced the heater valve I guess you could check it again. On the engine getting just warm you mean you are looking at the gauge? Yeah if the gauge reads low I would suspect the thermostat is stuck open. Could be the temp sender...

    Cold Water Leak

What vehicle model and year? On my 2003 Ford Expedition the heater valve which is directly above Cylinder #3 (on the 2V-5.4) was leaking coolant <but> it only leaked when I used the heater. The coolant would drip down into the #3 sparkplug hole and eventually fouled the coil boot springy thingy...

    04 5.4 won't switch into 3rd gear

Did you replace the 2-3 accumulator when you had the valve body out? Common problem for no 3rd gear. YouTube: Search “How To Remove & Replace Shift Accumulator 4R70W” (or 4R75W Accumulator location which is essentially the same). I think you can do it without removing the valve body again.

    Liqui Molly?

I wouldn't do a traditional solvent motor-flush but I think your mechanic is talking about LiqMolly Pro-Line Engine Flush which I also would not use, unless previous oil changes were severely neglected. I have a 2003 2V 5.4 which is a similar beast with 230K mi. Awhile back I bought 12...

    Odd alarm issue

If you have more than one fob you should replace all the fobs batteries, a weak battery in any of your fobs could be your problem. My 2003 alarm would go off whenever it wanted. I figured out it was a worn out passenger door light / door ajar switch. Do you ever see a door ajar light flickering...

2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer if it doesn't start up all the way, it won't start again for 15+ minutes.

I don't know if this is your problem but does it only start when cold? My 2003 would only start when cold. It ran OK but if I went anywhere I could not shut it off! I smelled a bunch of rotten egg smell at the tailpipe and figured it was running rich. So after a week of tinkering with the MAS...

    Where are sparkplugs?

Now that you know. One tip for easier spark plug removal (even though it might be uncomfortable) is to run the engine up to operating temperature before removing the plugs because of the carbon build up on the SP threads that protrude into the combustion chambers. Another tip while u have the...

Where is the heater control valve located on 2000 Expedition XLT 4x4 with auxiliary heat for back?

On my 2003 the heater control valve is right above cylinder #3 coil pack.

Best oil type for 5.4 2 valve with high 200,000 mileage

Hi people been a Ford guy my whole life. On my 5.4 2V (220K miles) I have been changing the oil every 3500-4000 miles. I live in AZ so in the spring I would add 5W30 and in the fall 5W20 because of the temps outside. I switched from using Super Tech or Valvoline (which are sufficient for my 390...
