    Fuse Box Breakdown

    The fuse box diagrams are located in the owners manual. The manual shows both the in-dash location and engine location (high power). At least in my '99 XLT manual. I imagine that Ford should have kept the location info constant throughout the years.

    Brake lights not working

    The connectors on the switch itself were worn. I popped the cover off the switch and discovered that the connection between the "spade" connectors (pins 1,2,3) were shorted. The wire side connector harness seemed to be intact.
