    AC Help!

If the compressor runs for the first 20 to 30 minutes and then quits running, it's the shim behind the clutch. It's an easy fix... remove the center bolt on the clutch, leave bolt installed and pull off the clutch and bolt together. Remove the thinnest washer which is about .060, and put back...

Any 30'+ Travel Trailer owners out there?

You will be just fine with a standard wheel base Expy. I towed a Outback 293UBH which was 33' long and had a 7600 pound GVWR with a 2003 Expedition 5.4... was just fine towing, stopping, etc, lacked power though. I am a believer in Equalizer E4's. I had one on the old trailer and my new heavier...

    Brake Pads

Torque stick goes on an impact wrench and is suppose to be a specified torque, but I have never seen that to be true. Jug should be lug.

    Ac not blowing cold

12 oz is nothing, the system holds about 3 to 3.5 pounds of R134a if I remember correctly. When charged properly it wont hiss.

    A/C hissin’

When it hisses it is a sign of low refrigerant. My old Expedition did it when it needed recharged. I used to have to recharge it every year. Damn POS... Yes I an a AC tech, so I would always pull a vacuum and recharge it.

    Ac not blowing cold

That's a sign of the AC being low on refrigerant.

Can you tell if Expy has tow package based off VIN?

The miniature radiator device is probably the power steering cooler.

    WDH or not?

Well, there is a HUGE difference between pulling a boat and a camper or enclosed trailer... your at least aerodynamic, and most of the boats weight is behind the axle.

    WDH or not?

You tow 7k without a WDH? You cant be serious?

    2015 Expedition towing max

I used to tow a 33' 7600 GVWR trailer with a 2003 Expedition and it was just fine, yours is alot newer and the Ecobeast is a great motor. You will be just fine! Make sure you get a good weight distribution hitch and brake controller. I recommend a Equalizer E4 and Prodgy brake controller...

Largest GD Trailer 2020 Expy can safely tow long term?

I dont disagree with you, at all! I tow a 2020 Outback 300ML which has a GVWR of 9500, with my 2003 Excursion 6.0 diesel and wouldn't want any more weight with my truck, but I was saying it could be done. I have a Equalizer E4, and it's as good as the ProPride or Hensley in my opinion

Largest GD Trailer 2020 Expy can safely tow long term?

I saw this a fee weeks ago.. i saw a 2019 standard wheel base Expedition pulling a Outback 328RL which has a GVWR of 10500 and a dry weight of 8600. I asked the owner and he said it towed great, and was even good in the mountains. I think he was WAY over weight but it's his choice to make. My...

    Can I tow this?

I saw this a few week ago... it's a 2019 Expedition standard wheel base towing a 2019 Outback 328RL which has a GVWR of 10500 pounds. I asked them how it towed and they said great, even in the mountains. I tried hard not to get my eyes "bug eyed", so I'd say you can do it. Are you experienced...

    She is gone...

According to 1aAuto.com the mirrors work from 2003 to 2010. They have the turn signal, are heated and have the puddle lights and worked great. I think the instructions are still in the box too. Here is a pic of them on my Expedition, but dont have any others sorry... if you want pics of them let...

Here ya go Gentlemen... you see it all camping!

I used to pull a 33' trailer with a 2003 Expedition and it was just fine, but it only had a GVWR of 7600. He is over GVWR of the SUV by alot!

Here ya go Gentlemen... you see it all camping!

Thought you guys would like this... it's a 2018 Expedition Standard wheel base towing a 2019 Outback 328RL. I will assume the TV has the max tow which is rated for 9200, but the dry weight of that trailer is 8700, and wet weight is 10500. I cant imagine pulling it. I talked to the people(since I...

    Headlight bulb replacement.

When I had my Expedition I had them for about 1.5 years before I sold it, now I have them in my Excursion(a different bulb) and have had them in for about 6 months. I couldn't be happier with them. Also have them in my wife's Trailblazer EXT, for around 2 years and she has daytime running lights...

    Headlight bulb replacement.

My old 2003 I got Beamtech 9006's for the low beams, and for my 2003 Excursion I have in Beamtech 9007's... they are AMAZING! I also got fogs for both of them to match. I used 6500k and they look very bright and white! I am including a link to the 9006s. I didnt need decoders or anything. They...

Salem 30KQBSS Tow question with 2019 Expedition Max

Exactly! Our old trailer was 5800 dry and had a GVWR of 7600, when you put all your crap in your trailer your probably around 1200 pounds heavier with propane, battery etc. And, if you tow with water(which I never have) your 500 pounds heavier. Dont get a trailer with a GVWR that's more than 80%...

    Pull behind camper

What do you want to know? I used to tow a 33' TT with a GVWR of 7600 pounds with my 2003 Expedition 5.4 4x4 without any issues.

How does this setup look for weight distribution...anyone able to get no sag on rear?

Do what I did... sell your Expedition and get an Excursion diesel! I found a 2003 6.0 that's studded Excursion in Tennessee with no rust, amazing condition, for next to nothing. Pulls our new 38' 9500 pound travel trailer like it's not even there.
