I've been wanting to do this for a while. I installed Traxda with the F150 2" front. It raised it 2" all the way around. I think it looks great... and it still fits in the garage (I may have 2" now... lol). I had a fair amount of weight in the back when I took the picture.
Interesting... Next time I'm towing up a steep grade I'll drop a gear and keep the rpms in the 3-5k and see what happens. Now I'm curious...
Thanks all!

I have been experiencing the same overheating issue with my 2016 EL Limited with the HD Tow (larger transmission cooler and 3.73 rears). Mine is not chipped. Standard size tires. My transmission never goes over 210. I watch temps with my torque pro app, in conjunction with the gauges (or lack...
This is a fun thread. Thanks Fozzy.
Things I keep in the Expe... The Expe is not my main vehicle, so ironically enough I keep more in my Edge. The '17 edge has better storage options then the '16 Expedition
Basic tool kit
First-aid kit (including sanitary napkins for the ladies)

This same thing happened to me with our 2016 EL Limited. We were going down S. Rambling Road in Draper UT that is fairly steep. I put it in tow mode and it was doing the same thing. It almost felt like it was throttling and then putting on the brake. I ended up putting it back to shift normally...
They have never made a ecoboost v8. 2014 was the last year of the 5.4 v8 in the Expedition. 2015 and until current, the only engine available in the Expedition is the 3.5 ecoboost.
I tow a travel trailer with mine. I'm trying not to block any air. There has been multiple times where more light is needed, but I hate the look of a light bar. Thats why I was thinking of incorporating it in the chrome bar. But keeping it clean would be a challenge.
Patsfan4lifeg: I like the...
Anyone thought of incorporating LED lights in the front chrome bar to look like the fog lights? I think it would look super cool and clean.
I have been thinking about picking up another chrome bar to play with. Thoughts?
I've had Cooper AT3's for a few years now. I liked them so much they followed me from my 2004 Expedition to the 2016 EL.
Great tire, wears good. Great on the road/rain/mud/sand and snow. I pull with it, so I opted for the 8 ply.
I am happy too. :)
All the tow mirrors I have found say they don't fit '15-'17, although I can't imagine them being much different.
Same goes for the Ranchos. From 2013 on, they don't make them for the Expedition. Same thing though, I can't imagine them being different either. As I recall, the suspension really...
Our 2016 is our 2nd one. We had a 2004 before. I love the engine and tranny in this one, however... My wish list would be the following.
1. Towing mirrors, not the stupid strap on kind.
2. Decent shock selection. I had Rancho quick lifts on my last one, and they were great for towing.
3. If I...
New to pulling trailers maybe? I have had them sway before (before I went to a equalizer style hitch), slowing down and/or applying the trailer brakes work. Scares the living crap out of you though. It was with my 2004 Expedition. I'm amazed at how well it handled it. I took the back roads home...
I have seen this video before. It is why when it comes to half ton trucks, my personal belief is your trailer should not weigh more than the half ton truck you are pulling it with.
However, a proper setup with sway control is crucial. Here in Utah our speed limits are up to 80mph. I don't pull...
These have been the best tires I have ever owned. I bought them with the 8-ply because a travel trailer we tow. They handle very well. They do very well at what ever I have thrown at them. Exceptional in rain/sleet/slush/snow. They even do decent in ice and mud. I am very happy with them.

Looks good Druid!
I went with 18" FX4 wheels on my 2016 Expedition EL instead of the 20's it came with. I had a slight issue with them also in regards to the caps on just the rear tires. But all I did was break the tiny plastic clips on the caps and they worked perfect.
My 2004 NBX had a...
My '04 just started this too after our trip from UT to San Diego CA.
One thing I did notice, blinkers are fine when the lights are out. With them on, my left side does not work at all. Hazards even work with the lights off. I think I have a bulb issue, which may not be the case with yours. But...
I only got 35k out of the Michelin LTX's... which in my mind is completely unacceptable. My wife is the primary driver and she is far less aggressive than I am. I do tow a trailer house with the Expedition but not enough to wear out the tires that fast. I was buying Michelin's for my Ford Fusion...
I love the Cooper Discoverer AT/3! I've had Michelin LTX, but they were just ok in snow and terrible in sand/mud. I've also had the Bridgestone AT tire. These Coopers are the best yet. Awesome in the rain/snow. They are quiet on the road, I can't wait to try them in the mud. The tire pattern...
