    Ah, let me rephrase. I killed the amp not the sub, the sub worked just fine after I replaced the amp with an identical one. So why would it have failed in the first place? Was it just me turning the volume up to high with the bass set high as well?

    Just a thought to consider, but Expeditions do not take 7 quarts of oil. Too much oil might cause that noise.

    I would get the power group fuse panel. I am pretty sure "power group" refers to the options like the power sunroof, the power wing windows in the very back, power driver seat, etc.

    All Expys came with the alarm system standard as far as I know. As for the running boards, if they are factory, they are very solid. They attach to the frame in multiple spots if I remember right. I think the receiver hitch was part of the tow package option, so probably not every Expy came with...

    I noticed one thing not on your list was resetting the ECM by disconnecting the battery. Maybe too simple a fix, but it relearns it's idle when you do that.

    Seafoam Walkthrough on 2001 Expy

    I'll have to try that soon. How can you make sure (on a Ford) that a line near the throttle body feeds all the cylinders? I read on the Seafoam site that Vortec/Subaru H-style engines in particular do not have a line that distributes evenly.
