2002 5.4 loses power on engine going uphill...
Has been serviced regularly. Air filter was changed about 4 months. Fuel filter about a year now. A guy here told me perhaps the accelerator cable was to blame because it may be not as tight as new. I drive it and works fine, but then on highways when is there any kind of uphill road it...- ignorantmonkey

This truck works almost perfect, but when I travel on highways it loses much power going uphill, to the point of going 70MPH and falling down to 40MPH in these. Lack of power
Perhaps same is happening to mine which is a 2002 XLT... Maybe has also something to do with the RPM which always go up to 1500-2000 RPM no matter if I go up to 85-95 MPH....:puke:- ignorantmonkey

2002 XLT... hesitates and loses thrust when going uphill on highway...
No solution so far....I travel often and take same highway back and forth...and truck loses, say perhaps 50% of all its power/speed when starts to go uphill....- ignorantmonkey

Endless pulls when going uphill on highways...
Is like you are driving uphill at some 65-75MPH and then the truck just loses a bit of power for half a second...then regains it again...and then again goes to lose power to go up...for a second...and then again regains it...and all of that goes on while going uphill....then when the truck goes...- ignorantmonkey

Went to Auto Zone and they ran 3 different codes: P0132, P1131 and P0172. P0132 says is an oxygen sensor heating. Bank 1, Sensor 1. P1131 says Fault at transition of 02 on bank 1. P0172 says Readjustment conditions of fuel on Bank 1. AND YES...the Check engine light is on...- ignorantmonkey

Endless pulls when going uphill on highways...
2002 Ford Expedition XLT 4.7 Engine Approximately 150,000 miles. The issue only shows up when I travel using a highway, going around 65-75 MPH UPHILL....It starts to lose power, and gets endless pulls, like if its having problems going uphill and starts to pull, then stop pulling...then...- ignorantmonkey

I have noticed my truck which is a 2002 XLT 4.6 ...some 145K miles...has some issues when I drive at 65-80MPH uphill on highways. When it runs on straight roads has zero issues, it is just when the road goes uphill...no matter how much uphill goes, so it starts hesitating, I can feel it having...- ignorantmonkey

Not DID yet. But I am planning to replace the radio/casette deck for this one: PIONEER FH-X520UI. New Pioneer FH X520UI Double DIN Car Stereo CD MP3 iPod USB Aux w Pandora | eBay .....Does anyone has installed this one on a Expedition? Mine is 2002 XLT. I have always been told by my mechanic to use only Motorcraft spark plugs....Some sort of "if I don't...the truck won't drive fine"....I dunno....- ignorantmonkey

There are both....but once I had a 89 Cherokee...bring it there (Auto Zone) to read the codes.... The response: Alternator was malfunctioning. Changed it, and then the problem remained. A friend check it and found out it was a loose cable.... So I really do not trust these places, or their code...- ignorantmonkey

Has been a big pain in the a.... Every day, summer or winter.... I turn on the truck and after, say one minute I start to drive it. No matter what....every time, after I have drive it, say one minute or so, all of a sudden the Expe starts to shake, lose all train power, and seems like an old car...- ignorantmonkey

Hello to all!....I have this problem: I have purchased new hubcaps several times, but seems thieves like to steal these from time to time. So I will again order a new set off ebay.
