You need a scanner to pull the codes. I would recommend :OBDLINK MX BLUETOOTH TOOL and download the Forscan app on your phone.
Nice expedition BTW that's a rare color!
What I have:
Flex-a-Lite 31165 controller
Electric fans off a 2010 expedition
10 Guage wire
I had to fab the fans a bit but in the picture shows what they look like fresh from the box compared to the fan shroud.
I tried a black wire and a grey with white? Can't remember but both had power, even with the a/c off. This project should be done by end of March so far I have all the stuff needed for the task. I'm just trying to get more info on the wiring. I found every thing except a positive or negative A/C...
Hello all I'm trying to convert my 2006 navigator to electric fans using fans off a 2010 expedition. The controller I'm about to use is the Flex-a-Lite 31165.
1. My question is where can I find a + or - signal for the a/c?
2.Also I notice my truck runs 190 F. Is the thermo Stat not 185F...
I used to dog the hell out of my 02 navigator and never missed a lick! That positraction with 3.73 gear and it ran awsome!but it did have the 32v 5.4 with a few mods lol
I'm interested in the swap as well! Seen an expy do 1/4 mile in 13 seconds! I've been eyeballing some salvaged navigator or expedition. Maybe find one that's been flipped and swap my body onto it. Hopefully some one does this soon with a diy article.
changed the sensor actually ran cooler, I Gave the thermostat another try and sure enough that was the problem it took about 12 min to reach operation temperature in idle............I just hope that solves the starting issue I have but I guess i'll have to wait and see.
As the title states, im having temperature and starting problems. basically the truck never gets in the middle of the temp, and so far the starting issue has just started this month. I've change out the thermostats a year ago but the temperature still stayed about the same. what else could it...
when I got my kit, I had to swap wires in the harness. The problem was that the positive was where the negative had to be and vise versa. My Navigator did something similar when I first got them but I cant recall what
