Removing Running Boards
It's done! Me again, just did the running board removal yesterday (with my husband's help of course). I have a 2000 EB 4x4 5.4L, each running board had 4 L-brackets, 14 bolts, and 1 electrical clip for the lights. One warning, don't take these off a late-model unless you plan on keeping them...- MOPSexpy

86 the running boards! Try taking them off, it looks way better without them! Suddenly your Expedition looks like an F150 super-cab with a cap. It's not hard at all, 8 L brackets (28 bolts & 16 clips alltogether) and 2 electrical clips (if yours are lighted) to take off and you're done. I have...- MOPSexpy

a few more questions I could be wrong but looking at your pic it seems like you did take them off? If so it helps me cause I wanted to see what it would look like with the Eddie Bauer trim but no running boards. Front driver's side sagging by 1"
Does anyone know if bad front sway bar link bushings on the passenger side could/would cause the driver's side to sag?
