Start up rattle
Just had timing chains, phasers, tensioners, oil pump, VCT solenoids, and coils replaced on my 2006 Expy about 6 weeks ago. A couple of weeks ago it started rattling on start up. Sounds like tensioners may be bleeding pressure off. I'm using Motorcraft 5W-20 oil and filter. I can't think of...- moondog

Cel p0022
I just had the P0022 code and had the VCT Solenoid replaced accordingly. The truck still has the same problem with shudder and rattling it had before. It only seems to show up when engine is warmed up and mainly in reverse more than in drive. CEL came back on with same code, would unplugging...- moondog
