I had the exact same problem. Checked the pan and it was filled with a bunch of flakes. It was the filter getting clogged and it was the transmission pump squealing. Changed filter and fluid and it ran perfect but had to change it every 3000 miles. It lasted for another 67,000 miles and lost...
I personally and not a fan of chrome so I would have to say white.
Trying my hardest not to be biased and I would still say white. It looks A LOT cleaner!
Also just my 2 cents but the very lowest wing on the bumper is to much for me. But still over all a great looking truck!
Oh so your saying that this is how you do it? I just remember that my dads 07 f250 with electric shift went back into 2wd with reverse. But if that is how to do it I'm just glad that it works!!
No check engine light.. I do have an ABS light on though.
and toms I already checked the flux capacitor. Both front and rear. Same here but I'll check that in the morning. I crawled under there and looked but its pretty tight in that area with the lift. But I'll defiantly check again in the...
I took the expedition through some trails yesterday and I discovered that it goes into 4x4 low no problem but it does not shit back out of 4x4. I found on the internet how to get it out of 4x4 low by disconnecting the battery but I can't find what the actual problem is to fix it... Any one have...
So I through some trails yesterday for the first time. She did great but once I got him I decided to wash her and as I was pressure washing under the truck I noticed this hanging down. What does it go to?!?!?! Help please :)
I with swagga I believe it is a pi/non-pi head difference but I will say that I've only seen them on non-ok head motors and I would have thought they would have put that on the better motor. But I'm glad it's on the non-pi because it does look good.
Thanks ward it took me a good hour and a...
I have to start getting better at taking before pictures, but here it the engine bay now that I've cleaned it up. The wiring was old worse and exposed in a LOT more places. Also I just installed the 5.4 cover the main battery fuse cover and the plastic cover over the radiator. I also used...
I had the same problem but I was able to use a pipe wrench(after I had totally destroyed the head around the valve.) But my next attempt would have been to drill a bit throw the hex part of the valve and gently tap the bit while still in the valve. Iffffff you attempt that make it your last...
Well I just did the old Google search and everything I am finding defiantly says that the "dip" started in 99. We must have both bought our vehicle that the previous owner swamped the front fascias. With that being said if you do decide to do the swap it's very easy all I needed was the grille...
The only difference you should have to pay attention to is some models had a flat bottom grille, others had a dip in the middle where the honeycomb is.
Im not sure if models/years made the diffrence or if it was just based on each individual vehicle.
My 97 5.4 has 275k. It was in an f150, and I paid $250 for the whole truck(after I scraped the truck) it's been in my lifted expedition for about 1500 miles and is still running smooth and strong.(knock on wood)
Just took a trip to Tampa for the first time in my lifted expy, approx. 100 miles each way and averaged 14.7(hand calculated). Thats about 60 miles highway 35 miles back roads.
Its been a while since ive been on the forum, between 18 hr. Work days the past 2 weeks and my second son being born its hard to find time.
But i just blew the transfercase in my 97 5.4. My question is, do i have to find a transfercase that is a 97/98(because of the 2wd,A4wd,4h,4l) or will a...
I was driving in the 99 expedition(transmission is muffed up in my lifted expy). and i saw this beauty in a parking lot. i turned around and pulled in, to take a look and absolutely feel in love. i waited almost 20 mins for the owner to come out of the store but was running low on gas in the...
