check charging system light coming on regularly.
I have 2005 5.4L and I went through this same thing too. Charging light on, but measuring 13+ Volts DC. It is the alternator ... on it's way out. It may work okay, but the PCM is sensing the voltage is not right. I changed out the alternator a few months back and no issues since.- dthsmarsh

CEL code P0303 #3 cyl misfire
Hello ... I have a 2005 Expedition limited, 5.4L. I'm having a constant #3 misfire issue, CEL code P0303. Usually happens while going uphill and the power drops way off. Sometimes will clear itself after getting up the hill but will eventually come back. Gas mileage drops way down too...- dthsmarsh

Intake manifold broken wire
Could be a mistake ... looks like someone did cut it away and where that wire goes into the back of the engine like that (not routed through a "normal" means like an access hole or something but pinched through the housings) it could just be one of those things. Intake manifold broken wire
Thanks for the reply, Richard. Our's should be identical. If you still have your's apart, can you see any kind of wire going behind the left/rear side of the engine (right side in our pics), sandwiched between the engine/bell housing? Intake manifold broken wire
Hello all ... 2005 Ford Expedition Limited, 4x4, Auto Trans I had to remove my intake manifold to get at the Charge Motion Control Valve (CMCV) to fix a code P2004 issue. 2005 Expedition exhaust manifold access
Thanks ... I already removed the starter but doesn't help with the front studs. Good idea about raising the engine up ... I never thought of that. Is it relatively easy? Hopefully you don't have to mess with the transmission. Any idea how many engine mounts are there? Any one out there...- dthsmarsh
