1998 5.4 performance
I think I've decided to do electric fans, long tubes with custom Y pipe, dyno tune and maybe pi cams. Havnt decided on cams yet, I think they would go well with the long tubes. The electric fan is step one, now that it's hot here that fan kicks on and the truck just turns into a pig.- ultrajetboat

1st gen 2wd lift/medium travel
for the front i found fabtech and camburg both make a "mid travel" kit for the front, camburg is 2 grand and fabtech is 900. fabtech comes with upper and lower arms, camburg comes with upper. but from everything ive read camburg is awesome and this particular fabtech kit is horrible. i would...- ultrajetboat

still looking for more power. now looking towards a head swap. will the aftermarket heads meant for 99+ work as long as switch to the pi intake manifold? i really dont think ill get much more power out of this thing unless i change the heads or heads/cam. even without a trailer i have to drop...- ultrajetboat

1st gen 2wd lift/medium travel
has anybody done a lift kit on a 2wd 1st gen that was more for ride quality/performance than just height? im guessing all the f150 kits would fit the front, my rear air suspension will be another headache. also it looks like in order to run coilovers i would have to do new upper arms and shock...- ultrajetboat

car/steering shaking???
there is a "squirm" in one of the tires...i think. it looks like someone wrapped a rope or belt around the tire, like it left an indention across the rubber. but obviously that has never happened. wouldnt that throw the balance off? i can balance the tires all i want, im temporarily working at...- ultrajetboat

car/steering shaking???
my rotors were warped so i replaced both front rotors/bearings, that took care of the shaking while braking but it seems to shake almost all the time now especially at higher speeds. i thought it might be my tires flat spotting, but its doing it after being parking for a few minutes not only...- ultrajetboat

If i do a head swap it will definitely get PI heads. I would delete the cats, but i cant find any bolt on test pipes that goes from the headers back, i cant have it done at a shop here in california. I dont know how long this engine will last, it has 130,000 miles on it now and seems to run like...- ultrajetboat
