    If pedal is spongy bleed them. But it isn't complicated it's only like 4 bolts per and if you can use ceramics. Autozone offers a lifetime set for front and rear. They replace for freer when there worn down. Think front and back is like 100 total. Anyways rim. slide through bolts 2 bolts in back...

    intake silencer?

    Does the 5.4l have a intake silencer? Does it do any good to remove or does it just increase sound? Will I need to do a mod as it week increase air flow or does the computer compensate?

    How many miles do you have on your Gen 1?

    98 with 176k original 5.4l and original 4r100 Trans. Recently replaced driver side head because I stripped plug hole but other then that no issues :)

    Put a new driver side head on my 98 5.4l @ 175082 miles had some knocking at first like a piston was slamming around but it turned out to be a stuck valve fixed that did oil change and put new cop axxel high voltage and Bosch platinum 2 plus in. runs great had it doing 90mph up a 60% incline...

    random engine knock

    So looked at filter after local jiffy lube did pull change. They used fram :( got a Bosch on after 50 miles knock started again. deff the driver head near rear. Going to look at it more tomorrow after noon

    I'm not leaking any fluids and compression test checked out. Add soon as I get it to knock again I will get a video. Just curious bit could a valve be sticking after driving it for a few hours? to me the fact it's not constant would rule out rods.

    Swivals and extensions. Lol sorry don't know much about the 4.6 motor... Get a triton :). But yea in my shop swivals are god for those had to reach places. I'd say if you can't do it that way call a local mechanic shop they usually give out pointers for free

    It is common also check the vacuum lines coming off the selenoid. Another thing is mine won't switch out or in 4lo unless in neutral but the indicater on the dash changes.

    Update looked under hood and found a cracked hose near the pcv.. Thats what I get for working in the dark lol

    Also make sure you disconnect the shift cable prior to dropping it. That's a $50 oops if it by chance cracks the hard plastic

    No hissing that I can hear inside the vehicle. I will look at my pcv when i get home in about a hour
