Help! Engine shudders in drive & stalls at stop
yes codes show pcv related emission issue. Did a visual and found a nearly collapsed fitting on the passenger side pcv valve just above the pcv valve at the bend in the fitting. New pcv valve to be installed. Your thoughts Moose?- bissbb

Exact issue with my 04 4.6 a few years ago - vacuum elbo/45 at top rear close to fire wall had a crack - replaced and no issues as described since. Now have a check engine with pcv code showing. Runs great but code will fail emis test. Start with new pcv valve after complete visual check ? Any...- bissbb

Help with Misfire
2004 Expedition 4.6, 107k. misfired near the top of a fairly steep 2 mile hill. Serv Eng light on immediately. Sounds louder than normal along with rough running and very sluggish performance. Code P0303 #3 cylinder misfire. Pulled COP and plug. The ground electrode on the plug is nearly gone...- bissbb

hint of pending elec problems?
Thanks Mike I'll search the posts on the door switch. Battery is 5 maybe 6 yrs old, and had a pretty cold winter here. My main concern is the shut down while driving - could that be a battery issue?- bissbb

hint of pending elec problems?
04 exped 4.6, 103k miles had since new, been very dependable. Noticed that radio will stay on even with engine shut off, key removed and driver door open. Also shut off when driving - started right back up. This happened yesterday. Very weak start up later after shutting off for 5 -10 min. No...- bissbb

Trans cooler line fitting?
2004 exped. 4.6 . Just had a line going into trans oil cooler come out. It is the passenger side line. Looks like the fitting holding the line in failed. Can the fitting only be replaced?- bissbb

Rough idle? P0171, P0174? Here's what you need to check first!!!
rough idle Lane 24 you called it! My 04 exped 4.6 was doing exactly as indicated - rpm drop to nearly stall when coming to a stop/idling. The 90 fitting at the top rear near firewall on the pcv line was split. Not the easiest to get to but once removed and replaced appears all is well. I would...- bissbb
