    Expy smoking from engine bay

Likely a valve cover gasket. If you can't see it after cleaning you can get a uv dye kit for like $30 and then it glows under uv light kinda like a white t shirt under a black light.

Anyone remove the front license plate bracket?

I'm a little late to the party but the problem with using urethane filler is that as it cures it shrinks. So you'll always be able to see some small dimples if you're filling holes. That stuff is really only meant to be used in thin flat layers.

    High milers??

I've been here about two months. I work at DigiKey which is right next door to the arctic Cat plant. My SO and I are still probably going to get an Expedition EL for hauling the kids around but I'm thinking about upgrading to a 4X4 for my daily driver too. It would have to be essentially an even...

    High milers??

I just moved to Thief River Falls so I'm new to Minnesota. You are correct ND just sands and last year started using some beet juice saline solution that they say works, it doesn't, which makes sure your vehicle is filthy all winter long no matter how often you wash it.

    High milers??

You're in Minnesota too right? Any problems with rust? This is the one I'm looking at. Blue 1998 Ford Expedition

    High milers??

Those of you that have high mileage, 150,000+ mile, first gens. Would you consider buying your rig as it is. The reason I ask is I'm finding some high mileage first gens, like 200k, that look to be in really good shape, no rust no tears in the leather etc. So I'm confident the po took decent...

Anyone remove the front license plate bracket?

If you're planning on filling them, putting in some plugs wouldn't look terrible but why not just take a bit more time and fill the holes with epoxy and then some touch up paint to make it look like they were never there.

My 03' EXPO 4.6 2WD HAS NO GUTS AND IM FED UP!!!

Huge in my book would be anything over about $6,000 dollars. At that price point it's probably better to just get a coyote crate motor and have that kind of power. DSS's stroker kit a good set of heads, I'd go used... they're out there, intake and cams plus fuel mods should come in around $4000...

Limited grills were painted to match. That thing looks sick, I liked the black one better but that's just my opinion :-)

My 03' EXPO 4.6 2WD HAS NO GUTS AND IM FED UP!!!

I would build a 4.6 before swapping in a 5.4. Unless the swap is literally plug and play, you can get some great power out of a 4.6 for not a lot of money. A blower would make a big difference obviously. You could go the aftermarket heads, cams, and build a 5.0 stroker. Even with a mild...

Melted air intake at throttle body

My first thought from that picture was the alternator. Glad to see I was headed in the right direction lol. That's some pretty serious heat to melt like that.

    4x4 Tire Queston / Alignment

I doubt any issues will arise form them being different tires of the same size. If they look different tho that would drive me batty I'd get new ones on the front and sell the good two. If they're the OEM tires should be a snap to offload them, probably the place you buy the new ones from will...

    rear ac lines dimensions?

Four Seasons doesn't appear to offer a replacement at all so it would be dealer only unless another aftermarket company has picked up the line. Otherwise the easiest thing is the route you're going, just put in a compression splice. The best thing would be to remove them and have it repaired.

    2010 EL 3/2” lift + 35" + Tuner - pics

You must have missed the last part of this thread. The op's research shows the F150 knuckle as the same part for the Expedition. Plus having 4 inches up front does no good without at least a 3 inch lift in the back, and noone makes one. Unless you want the truck nose high.

    3rd Gen Lifting Q's

After discussing some information and doing a little research on this thread here http://www.expeditionforum.com/f40/2010-el-3-2%94-lift-35-tuner-pics-18669/#post165202 I have a couple questions for the guys who have gone the spacer lift route. Ever get into any semi-serious off roading...

    2010 EL 3/2” lift + 35" + Tuner - pics

I agree but I'll probably still go the spacer route and put on the same size tire you did just to get it looking good, and keep my off roading tame until we can come up with something better.

    2010 EL 3/2” lift + 35" + Tuner - pics

I agree, an expy would need 4 inches in the back to make that work and unfortunately the F150 stuff will definitely not work there lol

    2010 EL 3/2” lift + 35" + Tuner - pics

Welding a cast piece is impossible acording to some shops, difficult according to others. I find it highly unlikely you'll find someone willing to give it a shot without some ironclad legal paperwork absolving them of any liability should it fail and wreck a vehicle worth at least $20,000.

    Weak Brakes - Please Help

Ok your problem is definitely NOT the booster. The vacuum booster just "boosts" the line pressure coming out of the Master Cylinder so you dont have to push the pedal so hard to stop. Symptoms of a bad booster would be hard pedal not a soft one. As was said above under no circumstances should...
