    I have a 98 Expy and the A4WD light just flashes when the knob is turned. The 4WD and 4WD low seem to work. The speedometer works also. The transmission changes a little hard from 2 to 3 but that maybe another issue. Pulled codes with FORScan and got back an 1845 code, if I remember correctly...

    Trailing arm torques

    I replaced the upper and lower trailing arms and the track bar on my 98. I found the torque specs but don’t know if they are supposed to be torqued with vehicle weight on the suspension or prior to lowering the truck.

    So the wife hit a deer last night.

    She was driving home from Raleigh from a horse show towing a two horse trailer with a dressing room. The deer came from the median and hit it dead center. I have to say the Expy took it like a champ. Lost the grill, condenser, trans cooler and radiator but my wife, daughter and pony are fine.

    Cruise control will not hold speed

    I have a 2013 Expedition Limited. My wife told me the cruise control doesn't hold its speed very well. When set to 70 mph, it will drop to around 63/65 when going up hill. It holds on flat ground. I haven't checked anything out but will this weekend. Any suggestions on where to start?

    Bad U-joints? Vibration

    Driving around town is no problem. On the highway cruising along at 65-75, as long as it is under load, it runs smooth but on deceleration/coasting, I get a strong vibration. The vibration isn't in the steering wheel, it comes from underneath rear.
