Transmission not holding gear on decent

I have a Gen 3 (2015 Limited-6 speed). and came back over Berthoud Pass from Winter Park last Friday night. Roads wer mostly dry. I was in 2W and the transmission seemed to be slipping in 3rd and 4th! The tow haul mode didn’t seem to help. Not sure if I’m starting to have transmission issues??

2015 Expedition Limited spark plug change

I’ve seen that same article several times. I guess we’ll see how the originals come out after 102k.

2015 Expedition Limited spark plug change

For the plug socket, I think I prefer 8 point instead of 16 point. at 11 ft# it probably doesn’t need to have the 8pt strength. Do you recall which length is needed-4”, 6”, 11”? 5/8” or 14mm? The magnet wasn’t a problem? Sidewalls of the socket not too thick? Motorcraft or NGK iridium plugs?

    Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 LED bulbs

I’m always reading posts about upgrading headlights. I have a 2015 Limited that I bought in January of 2016 with 20k on it. I’ve have been very happy with the head lights. Is there something different about my 2015 Ltd’s lights than what everyone is replacing?

    Minimum volume return

HELP! My 2015 Limited radio volume keeps fading down to minimum volume. I keep turning it up and it keeps fading down to minimum volume. I got it to stay at volume for several minutes while I was on the interstate today. When I got off the interstate and started to slow down, it faded to...

Oil Life - What would you do?

Change it before your big trip! I usually change my full synthetic at 5,000-6,000 miles. All my vehicles feel better running with fresh oil. “An ounce of prevention=a pound of cure.” It’s usually better to do an oil change at ‘home’ then on the road.

Anyone ever use powerstop slotted rotors/pads

Replace my 2015 Limited OEM fronts last year. Original rosters warped and gave me a wicked shimmy when breaking. The pads that came with the rioters are ‘organtic’ not porciline like the OEMs. = more wear, more dust less heat. I thought about re using the OEM pads, but at least one of them was...

Upgrade Sync with My Ford Touch to Sync3?

My wife recently bought a 2017 Platinum Explorer with Sync3. My 2015 Expedition only has Sync with My Ford Touch. The Sync3 seems like a much more cool and functional platform. Particularly when interfacing with my iPhone. I found, when looking on the web, there are upgrade kits @ $1500-$2500...

    Performance and mods

Nearing the point of making some upgrades and want to gather some info. First will be new tires. Only about 33k on the Pirellis. 6/32" left in the center, shoulders rounding and side walls are cracking. Looking into LT tires? Also thinking about upgrading brakes and maybe adding a chip. We...

    New Tires

I'm looking at replacing the stock Pirelli 275/60 R20s tires on our 2011. Only got 32,000 on them! I dirt bike and use a hitch hauler for my bike. There's a fare amount of tail sway with my bike on the back. I'm thinking of going to a LT tire from a P.
