I went there for 2 reasons. First, I don't know a good mechanic and second, the service adviser misquoted the cost to replace all 8 plugs and coils. Of course, I made them honor the low quoted price. Thank you all for your help... I would have to assume that the plugs were Motorcraft, since I had the work done at the local Ford dealership.. I never had a check engine light on, but when they hooked it up to their computer they said that I had 4 coils malfunctioning and suggested changing all...- Miami

Thank You, Andy... I appreciate the info about message center mileage. I will run it for 500 miles and manually check mpg as well. When they hooked up their computer it showed that I had 4 bad coils. I told them to replace all 8. They agreed that it was the best option. They said the wires...- Miami
