    According to Ford the misfire only really is noticeable under stress. While there was no engine code, they said they tested the coil under stress and it failed. Car runs much better and idle sounds good. Ticking noise is gone. I will be able to confirm at the week end when going on the freeway...

    Usually the car starts perfectly fine with no misfire. Misfire starts when foot on break at stop. If I rev it gets worse. If I let the car idle a bit accelerating very gently, the engine finds its pace again and problem is gone

I bought a code reader (Obdlink MX) so I can see what is happening live and the O2 sensor should go from low voltage to high...

    Ford ran some test and all coils are fine, injectors fine, plugs fine, block test fine, EGR fine... I got the car back, I will have to wait until it does it again and hope for a code...

    unfortunately, I had to drop the car off at Ford and didn't get a chance to test the temp of the EGR pipe. Quite frankly I couldn't locate it. Also it was a bit warmer yesterday morning (62F) and the rough idle didn't happen. Of course Ford tested the car this morning and it idled just fine...

    @docraymund woulnd't the symptoms still occur until the engine is warmer? The problem disappears when the engine barely had time to warm up
