I would use forscan and reset the ride height module and clear any faults that may still exist. I'm not totally sure if disconnecting the battery will wipe those faults or not. I sure if its disconnected for a length of time it would but not a quick disconnect. If you don't have forscan pull the...
I was also having the same issue. Replacing the drivers side ride height sensor solved my issue.
I looked at it in IDS and we seeing erratic readings over bumps when the check suspension would come on.
10 minute swap but the spare tire needs to be dropped
Have you ever washed a 3 valve that way? I've always washed my engines using the same technique but I don't dare try it on my 3 valve. They're very well known for water getting in around the spark plug boot causing misfires
I wasn't trying to be rude..
it's in writing from Ford that it is normal for the ride height to move a little while parked and more over extended periods of sitting. If the ride height has dropped at all, once all the doors are closed and vehicle is running the pump will start inflating the...
The 5.0 would fit all day!
I would strongly recommend a 3" shroud since anything smaller looks too small.
For a first retro you'd be crazy not to go with a threaded shaft. Its doesn't affect performance in any way but you'll lose the ability to adjust exactly how the projector sits.
Spray the U joints in the steering intermediate shaft and see if it loosens. It's very common for the U joints to fail and cause tight or binding steering.
No need to put it into neutral unless you are switching to 4low.
If the sound doesn't change either it's not the IWE or the splines are stripped and still not fully engaging when 4wd is engaged.
With the truck running in 4wd the front axle shaft should spin when you rotate the tire.
In...
Could be a grinding IWE. Jack the car up, start the car, set the 4wd selector in 2 high and spin the front wheels. If the car makes the noise you need a 4wd vacuum hub
Yes, I am running Diode Dynamics in the rear.
I typically only buy from Diodedynamics.com , Lightwerkz.net or Theretrofitsource.com because I've had good results and long life.
Some of the detailing guys I know use rubber dental picks to clean out the perforated seats. Unfortunately you need to hit every hole and takes a while but it works.
The Pac RP4-FD11 provides the correct signal to turn the sub on!
What's the pre out voltage of the radio(audio signal strength, not the same turn on voltage as mentioned above)? I ask because some are 4 volts, some are 2volts and a few other voltages. The factory sub likes a 4-5 volt signal or...
I found all of my parts under the floor in the rear cargo space. My stuff was already installed but instructions were there with a trailer brake harness ready to wire into an aftermarket. May be worth taking a look for any accessories that could have been left in there.
There is a good possibility it pulls cool air up from under the seat and the under seat vents become active in cooling but nothing I've seen or read reflects that.
I an actually working with Mubarakma to figure out the first set I'll build. I'm also in the process of packing to move as my closing date is set for May 24. Once I move I'll be able to commit to more people and just run multiple builds at once.
So after I did some more digging I realized the diagram I had was wrong. I noticed because the pins didn't line up with the o2. So after locating the correct diagram I confirmed the wiring was ok and it was actually just an o2 sensor issue. The heater circuit was grounded so that looks to be the...
Ho2 circuit was open. Disconnected the o2 sensor and checked continuity of with Ho2 circuit wires. It appears both wires for the Ho2 are broken some place. Heater circuit power and ground are intact. Shiukd be fun to find and fix or pull new wire. Either way its gonna stink.
I was mildly intimidated at first till I realized they were all o2 related. Just hoping for a "this was my problem for the same codes" before I dig in.
