    Air Suspension help

The compressor all of the sudden, isn't coming on at all. Prior to this it didn't come on very often to indicate that there may be a leak in the system anywhere. It would come on for a short moment after you first start it and put it in gear and that was pretty much it.

    Air Suspension help

Have an '02 XLT 4x4 5.4... Everything was just fine with the suspension. Then I hauled a queen size mattress and bed frame home. On my way home, the "ck susp" light flashed a couple times and then went off and the rest of the way home the truck rode fine, light never came back on or flashed. A...

    CV Boot or entire Axle?

You're probably right. So maybe I will bite the bullet and get the one side for now and plan to do the other after I get settled into the permanent place with my Mom. Thanks!

    CV Boot or entire Axle

I don't mind if I have to purchase special tools. I'm a proud Ford owner and hopefully I wouldn't need to use the tool again, but you never know. Plus might have someone that I know that would need the tool and I could loan it. Lol

    CV Boot or entire Axle?

So... I'm kind of unsure if I should post this under the Suspension topic of Transmission and Drive Train. Anyway, I have grease slipping all over my wheel well from the front passenger axle boot. I'm in the middle of a temporary move for 3 months and plan to move to a permanent place to move...

    5.4 engine advice

I would have to say, it really comes down to how much you really love your expo or if you could live without it. Mine is an 02 and I love mine, but on the other hand the blue book value vs the cost of repair is where it gets me. Since I love mine as much as I do and it shows (Mine is in...

    Wandering

Actually, all was not fine when I drove it last. It has had a drifty feeling for a while! I have taken it in and had it all checked out a few times, but I have been convinced that the supposed techs have not been very thorough. Since it was my tire shop that I have had look at it, I'm thinking I...

    Wandering

That's that plan. I did notice oil marks on my front drivers wheel. Two and two together, I'm suspecting the front axle! I'm sure my rear diff could be serviced as well. Been a while.

    Wandering

Nope. I haven't driven her since. We got about 8" of snow during the night. Gonna check it out again. This time a friend of mine that also owns an expo gonna test it out and see what he thinks. I'm thinking it's my CV boot/joint/axle/seals... Something along those lines... In my axle.

    Wandering

So, with it being winter, I had to take beastly out to battle the ice on the roads. I have a commuter car that I normally drive. Since my expo has about 210k miles on her, I use her for specific purposes and the in between runs to get fluids moving through. I have been trying to put the work in...

    Front suspension repair after collision

Apology accepted and that's why I turned to this forum. My fiancee is fixing it and he is an auto body guy, but we had a disagreement when I was ordering the parts because I think he should be doing more than just replacing the knuckle, hub, and bearing. The axle was still in 1 piece until he...

    Electrical BS

Sorry I'm posting updates like a year later. I just haven't been online. Taking care of life and the snowball of challenges it has brought. Anyway, here I am now. So the update on this issue was in fact my alternator. After driving it 50 miles when I got it restarted and back on the road. I went...

    Front height sensor

Ok so catching up on my posted threads...been down a bit. Sorry I haven't updated. So the story on this one was simple. One of the sensors and simply popped lose! It seems pretty dumb that the just pop on and off so easily! Whatever...it's fixed and of it happens again, at least I will know what...

    Front suspension repair after collision

This repair is actually on a 2010 Ford Edge SE. It belongs to a friend of mine. She was in a low speed accident and the person that hit her made first contact at her front drivers side wheel. The damage was to her steering knuckle mostly. Where the upper tie rod connects to the steering knuckle...

    Front height sensor

Oh wow! My compressor comes on as it should normally. It doesn't constantly run or run intermittently. However the air release noise that you hear in the beginning if the video happens about every 30 seconds. There is no constant change in height either. Kind of weird...I would think the...

    Front height sensor

So here is this thing...I managed to figure out that it is a height sensor for the load leveling air suspension. My question is: Does the lower end of it attach to the body somewhere? If so, where? Right now it's just there. Doesn't touch anything or seem like it should just be there like that...

    Mysterious miss in the enigine

Current issue...the miss in the motor. Since replacing the alternator, it hasn't thrown a code yet, but the miss is definately still there. I have put over 100 miles on it since. No miss when it's cold and not really at idol after it's warmed up. No loss of power. The miss is present at an idled...

    Electrical BS

It was the alternator. Completely dead! I just replaced it 3 years ago! Needless to say when I purchased the last one, I elected to save $30 and purchase the one with only a 1 year warranty. Plus, I as going to trade up and go with a newer Expo with the V-6 ecoboost. Obviously, I still haven't...

    Electrical BS

Typically, I'm a serious punctually correct person. I'm OCD and grammar is one of the things that I'm OCD with. I totally get what you're saying. I catch typos and grammar mistakes all the time! My frame of mind when I posted this thread was boggled, frustrated and in a huge hurry. A very rare...

    Misfire code

Oh and as far as an upgrade...I have been looking at the newer Expi with the 6 cyl, eco-boost. Any suggestions, recommendations or comments? Or maybe just a work horse truck? I have my audio compeating also. The audio in an SUV really is the best. The sound travel is fricking amazing!
