Other suggestion is to get a set of Anderson quick connect plugs mount one on front of your vehicle and other on jumper cables never have to open the hood. I have them front and back for my winch and my jumper cables
I was having trouble with my electric shift transfer case so I decided to ditch it all together I Purchased a 4406 Manual transfer case and all of parts need I also got rid of the vacuum actuator for the front axle and went to the cable shift

Anyways I went with a 4406 manual shift out of a F150 it was a direct swap sourcing parts is fairly painless I installed a 4x4 posi lok cable shift for front axle so all Vacuum crap is gone I also got different dash bazil. Shifter is easy to source but mounting...
That's route I'm going I'm tiered of this electrical shift BS and also getting the 4x4 posi lock cable shift for front axle too that way everything is basically mechanical 4x4

I'm getting a man shift 4406 slowly gathering parts. I'm getting a F150 Center consul and new dash bezel without turn knob so it all looks factory when I'm all done
