Just bought a 2010 EL limited. Shudder, help.

If your symptoms and issues are gone by simply doing a flush, and they don't come back, then I would say yes. You simply had fluid that was too worn out and thin to do its job.

Just bought a 2010 EL limited. Shudder, help.

If it has a lot of miles on it, it won't hurt anything to change the fluid. Some people think changing the fluid on a transmission that has not been changed in a long time can make the transmission fail, but that doesn't make any sense. If it fails, that means there was something wrong with it...

Is A/C cold at idle/around town in 2015-2017’s?

Based on my experience, that's not the case. I refill/recharge my own A/C systems, and when they are low, they just don't cool properly, or they don't cool at all. If the refrigerant is low enough, the compressor won't even kick on, so there's no way the system could freeze up. If the system...

2010 Expedition, starting issues. Starter replaced twice, need next culprit...

I agree that the neutral safety switch could be an issue. Fortunately, if that's the issue, it's a pretty easy fix. I changed it on my 05 expedition and it was mounted to the side of the transmission and was pretty easy to get to. But I believe I also mentioned previously in this thread that it...

    2010 eating wheel bearings

The place you purchase them isn't as important as what brand you purchase. You can get cheap junk on Rock Auto and Amazon, but you can also get high-quality parts from both of those places. You just have to pick a reputable brand rather than the cheapest thing out there.

    2010 eating wheel bearings

Mevotech Supreme, Moog, AC Delco Gold, or other quality brands. . A lot of manufacturers have a cheaper line, and then they have a better line. For instance, you can get Mevotech, or you can get Mevotech Supreme. The supreme is the better quality product with a better warranty. Same goes for AC...

    2013 Washer Fluid Pump Replacement

I can confirm that it requires removing the headlight. Fortunately, it's a pretty easy job overall.

Is A/C cold at idle/around town in 2015-2017’s?

I have a 2013, and I've been happy with the air-conditioning. It's possible that if it's not cold at idle, that it may be slightly low on refrigerant.

    Transmission Grumbling & Misfire

It's very easy to replace the coils. Unplug the electrical connector, remove the small bolt holding it in (probably 8mm or 1/4" head), and pull the coil up off the spark plug. Push the new one down over the spark plug, install the bolt, and plug the electrical connector back on. Easy peasy!

    Transmission Grumbling & Misfire

I second the idea of putting new coil packs on, as well as not needing to buy Motorcraft coils. I have had multiple vehicles with a stutter/bucking feeling at low RPMs when on the throttle a bit, that would go away once it shifted down. Many people think it's a transmission issue, but in every...

2010 Expedition, starting issues. Starter replaced twice, need next culprit...

Next time it won't start, listen for that click when you turn the key front. I know, it's really frustrating when a problem is intermittent. I have had issues like that as well.

2010 Expedition, starting issues. Starter replaced twice, need next culprit...

On my 05 expedition, the starter relay was in the passenger foot well on the right side below the dash. There was a cover that popped off and you could get to the relays. If you turn the key and you hear it click over there, then the relay is probably working. You could also swap a couple relays...

2005 Ford Expedition 5.4l - Half the coil packs don't work

Swap coils 5 and 6 and see if coil 6 still doesn't work. If you swap those 2, and then coil 5 isn't working but 6 is, then that confirms that it's a bad coil.

2005 Ford Expedition 5.4l - Half the coil packs don't work

If you move those coils to other cylinders, do they still not work?

Apologies in advance but another paint question.

Can you elaborate on the roll on bed liner option? Do you have pictures of what that looks like on your Expy?

Does your anti-theft light in the dash flash quickly when this happens? Had an issue similar in an 07 Lincoln MKZ that I had, and the problem was the PATS (anti-theft module) in the instrument cluster was bad. It was an intermittent problem, which made it hard to figure out, but replacing that...

Help my mpg is an 8 mile drag

I agree with spinning your wheels by hand, but would add to push on the brake pedal, then get out and spin them. I had an issue on my 05' where the brakes would apply but not release right away. Ended up being the rubber hoses (both fronts) were bad and acting like a check valve. They would let...

    2013 Expedition EL Misfires

He actually didn't swap the coils to another cylinder. Only took them out and cleaned them and put them back in. So he should still do that to eliminate the possibility of a bad coil. And the coil boots would have been replaced when he replaced the coils. At least on every one I've ever done...

    2017 expedition roaring

Most of the items you mentioned wouldn't cause a roar would they? The OP said he has a roar, not a clunk or rattle, like he would get with most of the suspension parts you mentioned. I do agree that a new part can be bad, and a wheel bearing would fit the description of the problem. It...

    2013 Expedition EL Misfires

I also had a situation on my 07 expedition where the heater core pipe was directly over one of the rear coils. It had developed a leak and was putting water down into that coil well where the spark plug is. And that was causing it to misfire occasionally.

    2013 Expedition EL Misfires

I know you replaced the spark plugs and coils and they are all new, but occasionally new items are defective. I've dealt with misfire issues as well on my Expeditions, and in my case it was usually either a coil pack or a spark plug. If I was in your shoes, I would swap the coil pack and spark...

    Replaced front hubs

What is the IWE? I've been having an intermittent noise from the front right of my 2013 expedition when cruising straight down the highway. And that corner of the vehicle clunks when it's in four-wheel-drive and I'm turning. A hub is usually a pretty consistent noise, with it maybe getting...
