    Heck of a deal

Could be fuel pump (easy) or timing chains (hard), crank sensor (easy), or underwatwr in hurricane (hard). Get a code scanner and get the codes first.

Faster you go, the cooler the AC

All systems "leak", some older ones just need a recharge every two years.

Faster you go, the cooler the AC

My guess is that it is time for a recharge. If you don't have guages, or can't borrow them, take it to a shop.

    Engine Ticking

Right-hand cam phaser ticking is very normal - it DOES NOT MEAN YOUR MOTOR IS ABOUT TO GRENADE. I would guess 1 in 3 3v 5.4s is ticking away away with long over 200K miles on them. However, timing chain rattle is a much different issue and you should troubleshoot enough to know whether it is...

    Engine Ticking

I'm missing something - why do you think you need to do the lock out? Is there some sort of urgency? Do you know of cases of motors self-destructing because of the "tick"? I thought I was following this thread but I must've missed something.

    Engine Ticking

Keep an eye on those cam phasers - they'll likely wear out in the next 200,000 miles. Seriously, ticking phasers is a design defect that is "normal" - so don't worry about it. However, pay attention to the "rattle" noise and if it gets to the point where it sounds like a diesel when you...

    2005 Expedition Common Issues?

What do you mean "didn't convert to coils"? I dont know what he's asking, but 75K miles is just broke in.

    No Limited Slip Rear End?

Unless you do something with the clutch pack, a ford LSD is moderately worthless. A Trutrac or selectable locker is your best option.

    06 Expedition Oil

5w30 Chevron - about the cheapest where I live. Motocraft oil filter from Walmart - the best filter IMO. Change every 5k max. Check the oil weekly. More people kill 5.4s from running out of oil than any other reason.

P0430 code. Bank 2 inefficient catalyst

Odds are that the sensor is fine but the cat is plugged. Standard OBDII scanners will show if the post cat sensor is moving or flat lined.

Which OBD-II adapter works for 2003 Expedition

Forscan is good, but there is a big difference between the laptop and mobile version. The mobile version has less features.

    axel nut

Can't answer the nut question off the top of my head. But put the front up on jack stands, get a 4' pry bar and see if there is movement in the ball joints.

    Question about oil filters

I've seen those before - the lettering was in Spanish. There's no way that small surface area is going to hold up -I'll bet those filters blow out the paper element. One of the reasons I tell my kids to never use Jiffy Lube, etc. The FL 820S Motorcraft is top quality and cheap.

2006 Expedition, water on floor in 2nd row

Don't park it in the river?

    Engine noise

Yes, your cam phasers will go bad in about 300,000 miles. Should plan for it ;)

Sporadic chirp--dont think it's the belt

AC clutch. Nothing to worry about. Unplug the AC clutch and the chirp will stop.

"part of his problem"? An air leak will have you chasing your tail.

I paid $33 for 4 backup sensors on Ebay. Straight from China.

    2005 Expedition 5.4 Triton 3V misfires

I'm curious about the lean condition - you may just have an air leak.

2003 XLT- Truck died, P0320 and battery light

Charged battery should be 12.6 - 13.2 v. Running voltage should be 14+v. Which is it? There's a reason why I said to charge it.

2003 XLT- Truck died, P0320 and battery light

Charge battery - then see if it runs. Hard to isolate between battery and alternator on non-running vehicle. Running voltage across battery terminals should be around 14v with healthy alternator.

    Belt length for bypassing AC?

Unplug the AC clutch. The AC WANTS to cycle even when not being used.
