Getting a very wierd grinding noise. similiar to baseball card in the spokes type of sound. under acceleration, straight line. anyone had anything like this? Just got home from having the struts and pucks put on. I went with the Bilstein 5100 for the F150 and 2.5" setting. Rear has 2" pucks. It sits PERFECT. Not to brodozer raked in the front. No problem. Just got my struts and tires installed. Highly recommend the Bilstein 5100 setup. It's an economical option. I was looking it Coil overs but pricey. front shocks compatible with F-150??
The F150 Bilstein 5100 load leveling strut is 1" longer shock body and shaft. I believe its do to the different design of the lower A arm. At least from what I've read and gathered. So a stock shock for the F150 should be the same 1" longer, compared to the Expedition at 1" shorter*. 2011...- SDExpedition

2011 Expedition lift options
Nice truck! I think 33" it is. I went with the 5100 f150 adjustables for the front. The back has the 4600 bilsteins and about to install the 2.0 rear pucks. So 2.5 front and 2.0 rear. Stuck on 20" or 17" rims now. This is pita. 33" seem a bit better of a size choice for now.- SDExpedition

The problem with anti-sieze is it can leak down onto the electrode and foul the plug. That's why most don't use it.- SDExpedition

Question regarding F150 Bilstein adjustables on Expi Gen 3.

Question on plugs/cop costs
Ebay has cops for under $100 for the set of 8. Everything i've read, says they are gtg. Some people with over 80k on them already. Try a local mechanic and see what he says, you might save some money on the repairs.- SDExpedition

Easy Safe Leveling for Expedition
Necro bump. Anyone else running these Bilsteins? If so, does it bottom the shock out before the bump stops, because of the slight length difference of the F150 strut?- SDExpedition
