well, that's certainly true! My gas gauge stopped working about a year ago, and I was using the mpg as a crutch to estimate when i need gas. looks like I'll just stick to the 200 miles and fill up model.- dsjoiner

ultimately I'm asking how to fix the display. Until a few weeks ago, the overhead had three options - direction, mpg and blank. direction and blank still work, so this should be the mpg display. Now it shows all the characters and no mpg. holding the two buttons to reset doesn't change...- dsjoiner

Overhead with strange display
For further clarification, the direction works fine, the second screen in blank and this is the screen for MPG. If you reset, nothing changes.- dsjoiner
