    It will still build compression if it is not seating all the way, as long as it’s not open very much. A leak down test would need to be performed to be sure.

    I have a very similar issue, rough mild shaking when stopped in gear, no misfire codes or pending. New plugs, coil packs, and injectors have been cleaned.     I have 285/70/17 on my 03 and they ride great. No fuel loss and still has the same power. No rubbing and fills the fender well.

    I would verify with dealer but the part numbers look like a supercession chain. Similar to the ba, aa. post-fix on the coil packs. They most likely changed minor things and gave it a new number.

    I buy my motorcraft filters from Walmart and they are about 4 dollars. What’s the big deal. Even if it was ten dollars, why would that be an issue. Filters are the cheapest part anyone will even buy for there vehicle. Cheaper than 1 sparkplug

    The 4.6 will fit just fine. If possible get the harness and computer with it. Most used auto parts have them as a unit and are fairly cheap. Most come with a 60-90 day warranty

    The ballast has a plug that goes from the ballast to your factory headlight connector. This plug on two of my ballasts are slightly smaller than the factory plug and don’t connect.
