Is there something I am missing? (Front Suspension Clunking)

I don’t like when solutions aren’t posted so here is what fixed my truck. The replaced sway bar link on the driver side was defective. Until it wore down a bit more, I couldn’t figure it out. I replaced every single piece on the suspension, so I was super upset that it sounded so rough on...

Is there something I am missing? (Front Suspension Clunking)

I have a 2004 Expedition XLT 2WD 4.6L. I replaced the following parts as the truck has 193,000 miles: - Lower control arm assemblies - Upper control arm assemblies - Outer tie rods - Inner tie rods - Struts with springs - Stabilizer bar bushings - Stabilizer bar links The hubs do not seem to...

A switch next to pedal adjustment I don´t know???

That could be anything, but from the fact that it has an LED on it, I would surprised if it was the alarm system. Probably a sub relay cut out or extra lighting somewhere. That is completely guesses though, as the switch is aftermarket. Chase the wires backwards as stated earlier. Also, if...

    Loud knock,No Power,No oil pressure

Sounds like you threw a bearing and possibly a rod. A bearing wouldn't account for the loss of power unless it caused serious damage when it went. It needs to have the oil pan pulled to confirm what is broken, and to identify the metal parts and shavings in the pan. Wish I could give you a...

AC Pressures within spec but not cooling sufficiently. :-(

Does it get cold at first, then gets warm? Could be the heater core valve staying open. I would feel the return line from the evaporator and see if it is cold. You also could have a faulty expansion valve. Are both ACs running hot?

    Recommended a/c compressor

There is no way to adequately flush our condensers. If you ever had debris in the system, you have some in the condenser, no matter how many times you flush. These systems have no filter to keep debris out of the compressor and it will kill any and all compressors you install.

    Recommended a/c compressor

On these vehicles, you must REPLACE both expansion valves, the drier, and the condenser. Rock Auto has these for cheap! I paid less than $150 for all three of those. Take apart the system and flush everything out. You should break down any joint in the system and use a flush tool with...

    Brake pedal travel

Few things to consider: 1) Have someone pump the brakes to watch the flexible brakes lines at each wheel to see if you possible have a bulging brake line 2) Call a few shops to see if they can perform an ABS bleed. If air gets into the ABS module, and that is very likely when replacing the...

What the Heck is going on?

I would look up the wiring diagrams and see if all those things have a common ground. Ground connections easily can cause the problem you are describing, so either go spend an hour digging through the diagrams looking for one in common, or go tighten every ground connection you can find under...

    Adjustable Pedals broken?

If someone has the gear, I will gladly pay for it as well. I also have the problem and would love to get it fixed. Thanks!

    New from Katy, TX

Just purchased a 2004 XLT and did so using the advice of this board. Anyway, the truck has 189,000 miles, bought it for $3600, and it has a ton of new stuff. Motor has 25k on it, along with the following within the last three months: new brake pads, rotors, PS pump, rack and pinion...
