Codes P0316, P0302, and P0171.. oh boy
I had a similiar issue with my '03 when i got it. i did a DIY smoke test with a cigar and some 3/8 tubing and found i had a bad vac leak around my resonator, somewhere I would have never thought to check otherwise. Replacing the tubing that held that on solved a lot of those problems- jim midd

Yes, as long as the dimmer switch isn't set to off, opening any door should activities the interior lights as well as puddle lights if you have them- jim midd

That's exactly why it's unlikely that both sides failed simultaneously. When one of my calipers goes bad, I replace them both since they get the same amount of cycles. Again it's possible that both actuators failed, but it's easy enough to narrow that down with some very basic troubleshooting...- jim midd

Check fuse 8 should be a 30A on yours ( assuming it's same as mine) but I think that should work ALL doors, so if some are working I doubt it's that if that's good check the switches in the doors? The drivers side operates both doors. The passenger side just does that side. It's obvious to...- jim midd

21" LED light bar install
Not sure if it's because I have different options, but in my '03 XLT there was an empty rubber plug on the drivers side firewall. It's pretty big and is the PERFECT place to bring in wires. If you open the hood and look on the drivers side, toward the center you should see it. Just pull that...- jim midd

I have a total of 3 of these USB outlets on this truck. 1 shows voltage, the others just have a single LED. They are all always on, because the circuit is always hot. Yea, lighter is easy to take out. if you are talking about the dash one you just need to pop up the plastic "tray" in the bottom of the tray in front of it, and use a 7mm socket to remove one bolt. then open your console lid, grab the area between the cup holders and console and pull it up...- jim midd

It actually goes down a little when you plug something in, even your phone. on a related note: A lot of people worry about these on a constant hot outlet, as the guage is lit all the time, but it uses so little power it doesn't matter. my truck is not a daily driver and sits weeks at a time...- jim midd

I don't think you can tighten those. They just kind of snap into place. I have replaced all except the passenger side front one with dedicated USB sockets. It's easy and so much better if you have the factory ashtray up front that one can be a slight pain, but it's still relatively easy ...- jim midd
