Yes it is the part that reads and sends level. I will admit I did it the shortcut way and made an access panel in the floor. And I have a new piece of steel over it and sealed it all up

Ok gentlemen I want to thank everyone for the help. Found out it was for sure the sending unit swapped it yesterday and now she's all good

Yeah I never get below 1/4. I actually considered havking an access panel but more likely then not I will drop the tank

Yeah I know about the odometer. I did separate the wire and the vehicle side stays ground. And the fuel pump side throws 12.4 volts. So I think the issue lies within the pump/sending unit
At least I hope. But I am not looking forward to dropping a tank with 25 gallons in it lol

Ok stamp I will try this Sunday. I definitely dont get what's going on so that would make some sense if it's the actual cluster. I have had an issue with the odometer reading since I got the truck and have just been too lazy to fix the cold solder problem

I should also add. The truck runs and drives fine that wire seemed to be the only thing wrong, and the fact that tanks full and it says low fuel on dash

Now after reading your diagram it appears the vlack/orange should be + so any help in figuring this problem out would be helpful

99 5.4 rwd. I have the Haynes manual but according to that it shows black/orange as a ground which it is at rest but when on the vehicle side stays ground and the pump side goes 12v. I have a new sending unit ready to be installed this weekend

I have verified that the black/orange tracer is at rest ground. But when the vehicle is running it it sending power back down that line from the pump side.
ok here’s the scenario. Last night driving home my fuel gauge dropped to empty and low fuel light came on. I know it isn’t low because I filled up less then 2 days ago. Just in case I stopped and tried to fill up and got 2 gallons in before it was full. So I know there’s gas. Now today I looked...
Ok so got to work today and same thing
Pinned it down to passenger side for sure. Not the heater core I bypassed the heater core limes and put coolant in the tank and instant dump of coolant
I mean immediate. Everything I put in came right back out. Help
Definitely not ac condensation. I park on a hill and it was about 2ft wide and extended about 8 feet in front of the truck. Wayyyy more fLuis then that
Yes definitely coolant/water. Actually this has made me want to flush the system even more then before because whoever owned it before had it filled with a majority water.
99 5.4l 2wd
And I looked in that area and it seemed dry. very strange. I have driven it the last day about 150 miles and not a drop. But still worrysome
Ok so here's what happened. Drove home last night about 20 miles a/c blasting the entire way. Park the truck and run upstairs foe about 10 minutes,I come back down to a lake of coolant coming from somewhere above transmission firewall area. I checked the level and it was slightly low so I...
OK I know I'm at risk of beating a dead horse here but I am trying to get some solid info on what to do here. So I picked up this expedition for $400 so didn't really get to choose what I got, kinda had to get it for that price. I wanted 4x4 and lifted but here I am! OK so I want to go maybe 6...
