'03 EB front suspension parts - suppliers/brands to use?

When you are first shopping on the site, Rock Auto seems great, until you get to the checkout stage. When I was ordering parts for doing head gaskets and a few other things on my Dodge Ram they were going to ship from FIVE separate warehouses, with each charging their own shipping fees, the...

    Front Differential housing

Has anyone dropped a front differential housing on a 2nd Gen? The FSM makes it sound easy enough, unbolt the cross-member, unbolt the flanges and then "remove bolt" x 3. The 2 outer bolts come out without a problem, the upper bolt however, there is no way it's coming out without first either...

Show me your Brake Controller installations

[ I have the pigtail that plugs into the factory harness, and am thankful for that, that is why I said hookup was a snap, meaning the electrical connections. What I meant by a factory brake controller is one like this: Just seems to me they could have included this for those that sprung...

Show me your Brake Controller installations

I think when you have the factory tow package it's a bit disappointing there isn't a built into the dash controller as the pickups have.

Show me your Brake Controller installations

Greetings folks I have a new Tekonsha brake controller, the actual hook up is a snap. Where to physically mount it though, I'm not sure, probably at the bottom of the dashboard which will take a little piece of angle or something to have the mounting face oriented properly. I'd like to see...

    Charging system woes

Hello folks, I finally got a chance to get out and mess with the Expedition again. What I really need to know, which connector is the C175b? So I can test that portion of the wiring (I have good continuity from the alternator plug to the C192 connector). What I did do was backprobe the C192...

    Charging system woes

Thank you for the response, I'm not following what you mean by "connecting the alternator to the pcm once the pcm has been disconnected." I think what your saying is to check the integrity of the 2 wires from the alternator socket to the PCM socket? My problem is I'm not sure where to probe on...

    Charging system woes

Checked voltage directly at the BAT lug so the harness has been eliminated as a possibility.

    Charging system woes

06 Eddie, I'm not sure I'm following you, if your charging system is not charging for whatever reason, absolutely your battery will steadily drain, the more loads, the faster that will happen. So yes my volts are going down, but it's sitting in the garage till this problem is solved.

    Charging system woes

My 2003 is having charging systems issues. I have the version of 2003 that does not have the 1.9 fuse for the alternator, there is battery voltage at the #3 (orange/ blue stripe) terminal of the alternator but with a fully charged battery it's only putting out the same 12.2ish volts at the BAT...

    Service records

So I recently purchased a high mileage but excellent condition 2003 Expedition. It's a 2 owner vehicle, 1st owner driving it for 3 years and the 2nd for the duration, I am guessing this was the typical scenario of being leased for several years then sold at the dealership. My question is...

    Greetings from Everett, WA

I have had my 2003 EB for about a month now, it's so nice to drive, that although I bought it as an errand runner, dog hauler it is quickly becoming my daily driver. I had been using my mother's 95 2 door explorer XLT 5 speed for that duty for several years. My 83 year old mother had had an...
