I also just added better wiring on top of the factory wires. The fuseable link is there to save the vehicles electrical system in the rare occurrence that the alternator full fields (think run away diesel) it is not a scenario that occurs often anymore. new owner of 2005 expedition (does not run)
Check that o2 sensor before you go throwing cats at it. An o2 sensor stuck lean could be a bad sensor or intake gaskets. both of which are cheaper than cats. You can check for intake gaskets by starting with a cold motor, get it to run(with someone keeping it idling) and spray starting fluid...- 03 Expy
