Mystery intermittent oil consumption
There is a gasket located at the oil filter adapter that may form a leak. It may only leak when pressurized. Getting to it and changing can be tricky. A new gasket will cost about $20 but labor will run high if you take it to the shop.- Brooks Moorhead

The coils. Yes, I meant to hit on this. If you're changing spark plugs, you might as well change the coil over plugs while you're there. You'll have to pull those to get the plugs out and after 100k or so, I'd suggest changing them. I used Motorcraft and suggest using them. Some cheaper...- Brooks Moorhead

The hoses you outlined can be pulled out of the way. It takes some doing, but it can be done. I used zip ties.
