I've been using universal-fit suction-cup attached mirrors on my 2018 while towing my camper. Still waiting for something better to come out. I'm surprised nothing has hit the market yet...
Interesting...
My wife keeps saying there is something wrong because the parking brake gets set for her and not me. I don't know if I have the nerve to say it's her inability to fully press the brakes before shifting into park. Sometimes it's best to just say it's a "driver assist feature" ;)
I have the exact same experience. Only indication is the display shows towing screen vs my default of digital speedometer. Seems like such a simple fix :disgust:
After I've towed the camper for 300-400 miles over the weekend, the MTE shows around 210 after filling the tank. Takes about 3-5 days before it gets back to the MTE >380. I've tried resetting both Trip 1 & 2, but that does not seem to fix it. :emotions34:
Also waiting for the replacement tow mirrors from Ford. Why wouldn't these be included with the Max Tow Pkg??? Seems pretty obvious that you would need tow mirrors if you selected the Max Tow Pkg, right?
I ended just use these POS mirrors to get me by until something better is released...
I've had no noise issues with the cruise. How substantial is the deceleration? I've only used it on the highway and I never had an instance where an "emergency stop" is required.
Thanks to all that replied. Sounds like if:
truck is kept running
I stay in the truck
driver seat belt stays fastened
I could just put it in neutral and all should be fine. Of course, the official language in the manual says:
Note: Always put your vehicle in Stay in Neutral mode when...
My wife recently took the truck through a car wash that moves the vehicle on a conveyor while you stay in the car. I'd told her ahead of time to make sure to follow the "Stay in Neutral Mode" instructions similar to our '17 Fusion.
Upon entering the car wash, she put it in neutral but did...
I see the hand of a "little helper" at the bottom of your photo....glad to see the kids are excited about the cargo mat :)
Looks really nice. I'm still waiting for WeatherTech to release the floorliners for 2nd row buckets :emotions33:
If you've setup your truck in the Ford app, it will let you know when a recall has been issued for your specific vehicle. I have my other car, Fusion, in the app and it let me know almost immediately when they issued the recall on the fact my steering wheel might come off :emotions34:
Update:
For those with 2nd row bench, floorliners are available for all rows. For those of us with 2nd row buckets, just driver/passenger floorliners are available. Hopefully this will be updated soon...
I entered a product request back on March 21th....and again on April 3rd :) I wonder how many people really need to ask for these before they make them?
@Scottorama Is there a link to the 2018 Expedition recalls? I was unable to find them on the Ford Owners website.
Apologies for going slightly off topic here :emotions36:
Did a quick measurement on mine at the wheel wells:
Front Driver: 35 7/8"
Front Passenger: 35 3/4"
Rear Driver: 36 1/4"
Rear Passenger: 36 1/4"
Did not have a chance to grab the tire pressures
Limited 301a w/tow package
I'm also waiting on the WeatherTech full liners. I dropped them a note last week asking on timing, but have not heard back.
Please post to the board if you hear anything
Agreed on the negotiated price of my ltd probably not being the best around. I was focused on an out the door price that included my trade-in. The dealer just increased the value of my trade over KBB vs reducing the expy price.
Mine was 64,550 with adjusting for the extra trade-in value...
