Roaring Noise...ideas?
Based on OP's description, my vote is wheel hub assembly (i.e., wheel bearing). My EXPy has 141K and all 4 have been replaced within the last 40K.- Jachniw

2007 CD won't eject
Who plays CD's anymore? :) Once you see that video, you'll realize how easy it is to pull the radio. Just get yourself a set of those plastic trim tools. My 2008 had the basic stock radio/CD player when I bought it (used). Ended up finding the upgraded version with GPS on EBay for ~$125...- Jachniw

Agree with this 100%. Check exhaust manifold bolts. They are known for rusting and popping off. Results in bad seal between manifold and head. Everyone instantly piles on the rockers and phasers. That's what I was thinking too! I had the same condition on my 2008 w/135K. Further inspection...- Jachniw

Whining noise
Any updates on the OP's issue? I'm experiencing similar noise on my '08 w/135K. I had both front bearings replaced thinking that was the problem -- wrong!!! My mechanic thinks front diff, possibly pinion gear.- Jachniw

Navigation DVD for 2008 expedition
I'm in the same position (2008 as well). In fact I just "upgraded" my radio with a handsome used NAV unit from E-Bay :). Thanks for the pointers. I ordered one from Amazon. Will be here tomorrow. Quick install and then we'll see! Makes no sense to me why Ford didn't use the SIRIUS/XM antenna feed. I also wonder how effective the after market antennas are mounted UNDER the dash. Doesn't seem logical to do...- Jachniw

J07, What antenna did you buy and from where? I just did the same thing for my '08. Easy drop in replacement. I am seeing everything you and others have mentioned....no NAV, can't set clock or calendar. In fact, my calendar stops at 2014. Does the NAV antenna plug into the small red plug...- Jachniw

Odd Part Request...Where To Find Part Number?
I would like to replace two obscure parts that I haven't been able to find on the internet. Would rather not go to dealer if possible. #1: Garment hook screwed into roof (interior). Power running boards malfunction
Common problem and complaint reported on this forum. I just replaced mine with fixed boards. Was tired of cleaning/lubing and "helping" the passenger side.- Jachniw

Full synthetic price
Nice idea to makes things cleaner and easier. But....does anyone have any tips on removing the oil filter without making a huge mess? The 5.4L on my 2008 has a nice "drip pan" under the filter, but it's useless. I spend more time cleaning that mess than changing the actual oil.- Jachniw
