22 inch tires for 2020 Expedition Platinum

Michelin Defenders here. Have always been happy with their performance.

    Toyo AT3

I’m running Toyo AT3’s in 285/55R22 on my F150. I had them on my ‘21 F150 in a 295/60R20 as well. I’ve been happy with them.

    Anyone with 15.5" Screen?

My wife did just turn 40 last month, maybe she is getting old and stuck in her ways. Lol. I don’t think she’d give up her iPhone or Apple Watch tho.

General Grabber tires on brand new 22 Expy

I swapped the 22” Generals on mine to Michelin LTX Defenders before I brought it home. I think they charged me around $1,200 to swap them.

    Anyone with 15.5" Screen?

I thought the new big screen was pretty sweet in our ‘22 Platinum, but my wife absolutely hates it…and it’s her vehicle. She wants her ‘20 back. Her biggest complaint is having to go through pages to get to things like the 360 camera.

    ‘22 Center Display Shortcut Button

This is more of a thing for my wife who would probably prefer a mini van if given her choice, but I “highly encouraged” a vehicle I’d enjoy driving as well. She’s had a full size SUV for 5 years or so, but the camera really helps at times. It’s just something she liked better about her old...

    ‘22 Center Display Shortcut Button

I get that two taps instead of one isn’t that big of a deal, it’s just remembering when you are used to quick access in the heat of the moment. It just surprises me they took away a shortcut. The big screen is cool, but it kind of complicates something that doesn’t have to be. I really like the...

    ‘22 Center Display Shortcut Button

It does suck….mainly because my wife complains about it daily. She’d take her ‘20 Expedition back in a heartbeat at this point. You would think you could add it to the blank spot. The Navigator kept a button.

    ‘22 Center Display Shortcut Button

Is there a way to add the 360 camera to a shortcut button on the 12.3” display on the ‘22 Expedition? I haven’t been able to figure it out yet. Thanks!

Michelin Premier LTX DT vs Defender LTX M/S

I wouldn’t call the Defender aggressive looking. I’ve ran the Defender M/S2 on our last two Expeditions with good luck.

    New Tires - 2018 Platinum

We went with the Michelin Defender’s and have been very happy with them. Sorry, no experience with those other tires tho...

2019 platinum, screens, mudflaps and floor mats

We like the WeatherTech Floor mats in our Expedition.

I really like Expedition, but the terrible suspension is getting to me...

We have a Platinum Expy and my boss has the Navigator. We frequently jump back and forth between the two, and I can’t tell hardly any difference in ride between them. They are both 2020 models, but our ‘19’s were the same way. We are both running 22” Michelin Defenders. The only time I notice...

Update all versions of Ford Sync 3 to the latest Sync 3.4

The two colors are noticeable different, but not enough to really make a difference to me. The Star White is a brighter white with more metallic in it, and the White Platinum has more of a pearl white to it. I did the same swap on my F250, and I’ve had several complements on the Star White, so...

Update all versions of Ford Sync 3 to the latest Sync 3.4

Quick question for you guys that have updated. Can you mix and match FM stations with SiriusXM stations on your presets? I have a ‘20 F250 and it lets you mix them, and you can jump to the next set of presets without having to switch to the next set of presets. I just got my ‘20 Expedition, and...

Best 18” tire for ride quality?

I have 22” tires, but regardless I believe the Michelin Defender is the best highway tire available. I swapped the Hankooks out before it left the dealership.

    Factory DVD or aftermarket

I reread your original post. The factory rear entertainment is completely independent. It only connects through the Sync in your dash through Bluetooth when you want to use the car speakers instead of the headphones. You can have a factory Ford setup just by replacing the headrests with the...

    Factory DVD or aftermarket

We don’t care for the factory rear entertainment in our ‘19 Platinum for our 4 and 1.5 year olds, but that being said we ordered it again in the 2020. I initially was going to go aftermarket, but other then iPads, I didn’t find a great solution. I was all for iPad’s, but that’s a battle with my...

    Tailgate button sticking?

Ours is doing the same thing as well. It just comes and goes when it works...kind of like our sunroof shade that opens on its own. ‍♂️ Haven’t been back to the dealer for awhile tho. The dealer is an hour away, and it’s same as traded off for a new one anyway.

    2021 Tahoe/Suburban being announced today

Here’s a link with some good pictures. https://www.motor1.com/news/387159/chevrolet-suburban-tahoe-diesel-irs/ I’ll admit I think the Premier Tahoe looks pretty good inside and out. We came from a ‘17 Tahoe Premier to our ‘19 Platinum. The main thing that looks intriguing is the rear seat...

    Rear Seat Entertainment Upgrade

I’d be game at $500. The RSE is the #1 thing my wife hates about her Expedition compared to the Tahoe she had before.

    4th Gen Expy FORScan Modifications

I never did get it to work. I just switched it back and have waited to hear if someone else figured it out. It’s my wife’s vehicle and it doesn’t bother her, so I just hit the button whenever I drive it.

    2020 vs 2019 Platinum wheels

I’m still struggling with the new ones, but I’m sure they will grow on me as well. I just showed my wife your pictures and got an “ewww,” so I guess they’ll have to grow on her as well.

    22" All Season Tires

I went ahead with the Michelin Defender for our Expedition, even tho the tire wasn’t rated high enough. I have 15,000 miles on them now, and two co-workers that each have about 30,000 on theirs (one Nav and one Max) without a single problem. I believe they are the best all season tire on the...
