    Even though I just paid $2100 to have mine rebuilt out of warranty, I’d still opt for it. Makes a huge difference for me on the boat ramp and in the mind off road travel I do with it. The low overhangs and long wheelbase are the biggest limiting factors.

    Towing about 6200-6500# boat loaded down with coolers and kids, I average 8-10 depending on speed and how badly I want to keep up with traffic in stop and go driving.

    Take the belt off and see if you can spin the compressor. If you can’t, I well, they ain’t lying. If you can fix it yourself, you can start it up long enough to immediately drive on a trailer. I wouldn’t drive it anywhere though.
