    Well my father-in-law took it to a auto-electo that had been in business for like 60 years. just take it to shop with someone on staff with 10-20 years experience. I mean ALL they do is track down gremlins mang, I'd say if you dont get the heebiejeebies then roll the dice.

    also is there any good fixes for the door well rust? the doors ironically look ok but the wells are starting to bubble and Ive heard that rust removal priming and painting wont last too long on these.

    am I correct in assuming I need to take the cowl off to get the fenders removed? I'm thinking cowl and hood then hidden fender bolts....am I right?

    all 4 rust free doors . known good 5.4 2v engine. good compression not too many miles (relative to maintenance I suppose) rear hatch. good running boards. I'm not a rich man just trying to get my project rolling so I can get my kids and wife into one safe vehicle and hopefully under budget.

    well an old smithy trick if to drive a screw driver or punch into what needs be turned and hammer on the driver/punch in whatever direction will loosen it....mind you if those lugs are torqued on as tight as you say....you're gonna need a lot of force to turn it.

    I mean I'm no metallurgist but the frame is still solid, I mean I've trusted my life to much, much worse, had a b2000 with a hole in the frame bigger than my fist and that thing lasted 6 months before the bed and frame started to basically walk itself out of alignment and become dangerous...mind...

    it's quite possible, but then again it is almost 20 years old and I live in a state that uses alot of salt in the winter and the trucks been here since like '03.
