    Exhaust fumes in cabin

Plugs were changed at 34k and now have 52k miles. I didn't really pay much attention to the cold starting after the change. My wife drives it mainly. We did take it on a 3000 mile+ vacation over the summer to Moab and up and down the mountain ranges on Colorado including pikes peak so I...

    Exhaust fumes in cabin

Thanks for the replies! I'll try to get a video of a cold start. The plugs were done at 35k miles but I used autolite iridium plugs instead of motorcraft. I guess step #1 would be to go back to oem and see if that helps. I don't hear any exhaust leaks but I assume if it's small enough you...

    Loud noise during start up

Our 2015 navigator has had the chain rattle at startup since 34k miles. It intermittent though so I haven't had it fixed yet Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk

What are the symptoms of blown shocks?

Mine blew out on the highway. Everytime I hot a bump with the right rear it would for e the steering wheel to the left hard. It was super dangerous. So, first sign for me was the sub trying to kill me Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk

    Exhaust fumes in cabin

We have a 2015 navigator with the 3.5 Ecoboost. When starting the car to let it warm up in the morning, sitting at idle for a few minutes or anything similar to those two things, we get strong exhaust fumes in the cabin. I do not hear or see an exhaust leak but the strange thing is that the...

    Brake assist failure

Update:. The dealer was able to find the brake failure code stored in the system. They weren't sure what caused it but did say my driver side iwe hose was not attached(a different dealer replaced my iwe's and hubs about 5k miles ago). I'm not sure if this happened recently or not. We have...

3rd shock blown out on 2018 XLT

It can be subtle to very obvious. Our rear passenger blew out completely and Everytime you hit a bump with that wheel it would shoot the steering wheel to the left hard. On the highway it was always trying to throw you into another lane, so it made it very sketchy to drive. Sent from my...

    EcoBoost Issues

We had a leaking water pump on our 2015 ecoboost with 38k miles. I would be very suprised if your hoses were also leaking to where they needed replacing on a 2018. Sounds like bs to me Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Brake assist failure

if so, It stayed activated after that. She drove the rest of the way home, pulled in the driveway, sat for a few minutes and then pulled in the garage. The whole time it was like that. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Brake assist failure

My wife drives our 2015 extended length navigator. It currently has 49k miles on it. We've been experiencing a rock hard brake pedal after the truck sits for a few hours. No other issues have pooped up with the brakes until yesterday. My wife had driven 30 miles on the highway, pulled into...

Problems with the 3.5L Turbo Engines 2015-17???

It's funny to me that my 2014 Ford fusion titanium has touch sensitive door handles to lock and unlock the car as well as rear auto up and down windows but the 2015 Lincoln navigator that cost three times as much has none of that. It's just odd to me. Oh well. It's a beautiful truck so I hope...

Problems with the 3.5L Turbo Engines 2015-17???

I've actually had great luck with Fords and so has my Dad. It's not until I got into the full size SUV game that I started having issues with the vehicles. Oh well. Hopefully I won't have anything else besides normal wear and tear Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Problems with the 3.5L Turbo Engines 2015-17???

I will say the 2015 being a "new model year" seems to have more issues than others. Not so much with the engine but other things. Our 15 navigator has had a lot of warranty work done on it. We bought it with 34k miles and it now has 46k miles on it. We have had the following: Right rear...

    Did I Hurt it!!

Good to hear it's covered. I think the dealer usually pulls the engine to remove the manifold. Us normal folk have to get it out without doing that and it's terrible! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Any idea what's leaking?

It's definitely the outboard seal on the shaft. I couldn't tell initially since I think it only shoots out grease once on highway. It looks like it may expand outward at that point and sling the grease but return to it's normal shape once slowed down. Anyway. I found the split in it. Sent...

    Any idea what's leaking?

Thanks Trainmaster. Hopefully Ford covers this. There is no possible way something hit that boot considering this is the front driveshaft boot which faces the rear, it's set inside of the steel surround and there's a cover over all of it. We shall see. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Any idea what's leaking?

Yeah we tracked it down. I'm having trouble finding the boot anywhere though. I'll see what the dealer says and go from there. Thanks for the help! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Any idea what's leaking?

Negative on the gravel road. The dealership replaced the driveshaft seal right next to this boot about 5k miles ago. We just took a trip and put 3500 miles on the navigator. I had my neighbor take a look and it looks like the driveshaft boot grease seal is split open and slinging grease...

    Any idea what's leaking?

Actually, it appears it's not the diff so it's either oil or trans fluid. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Any idea what's leaking?

Feels like grease but looks like it's sprayed all over under on that side of the suv. Front diff fluid? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Did I Hurt it!!

There's a good chance you cracked an exhaust manifold or a few of the manifold bolts broke and you now have a leak. I would definitely let Ford deal with it if you have the warranty. The manifolds are a pain in the ass to get out. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Rear vent windows weak

Sounds like they should have the sack to open on the highway. I'll check mine out. Maybe they need a hit of lube or a red bull. Thanks peeps! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
