so a buddy of mine and I swapped out his LED rears for my halogens, we found all the stuff you did...tabs on harness different, we pulled off bumper in rear and was wondering if the harness could swap out also and make it a plug and play scenario. Seems like the lED setup was just missing the...
Hey man any update on this? Wondering if possible to make the swap...did some playing around today and found you need to shave the one harness side, but didnt take a stab at the electrical side of things...would love to put these on the back of the XLT.
Well I got sick of the terrible performing low and high beam bulbs that come stock on the XLT. I ended up contacting headlight revolution and got the SV.4 for the high and low beam. Holy cow these things are incredible, blows away the stock bulbs. We compared the flood and depth vs my buddies...
Nice man...which version of the hella and fog did you go with? I went with the Alla 2800lb for $25 on amazon for the fog lights and there better but not enough to make much difference when driving.
I have been reading about the Hikari, Alla, and other brand LED headlight upgrades for the XLT, and limited trim levels for several months now...just did a long night drive and realized how bad the stock halogen headlights are...need to upgrade asap. We upgraded some LEDs from Diodedynamicas on...
I would like to know as well
I reached out to headlight revolution and they recomended these two options:
low beam

and for the high beam...
3500RPM sustained was a major surprise to me also. I have towed a 8300lb, 34ft long trailer all over in 90-95F temps, towing at 65-70mph even up grades and only had 3000-3500rpms for 30 seconds max...most towing is at 2000-2300rpms.
Sorry to hear about this...a few questions: Was your engine coolant or trans fluid 240F? I have towed almost 1600 miles now with our 18 Max with HD tow with a 8300lb 34ft Jayco all over Michigan so far this summer. Hottest the trans has gotten was 225F and it was 90F outside with some city...
I have a 18 Max with HD tow package and a 19 Raptor. Came from a 16 F150, and 17 Raptor. My 18 expedition shifting has been spot on for 5k miles. Towed a 8300lb travel trailer almost 1000 miles so far. Shifting has been great...fuel mileage towing...not so great. Raptor shifts a little...
I have pulled almost a 1000 miles now with our 18 Exp max with max tow package and a Equalizer 4point WDH our 34ft 8300lb Jayco whitehawk. Pulls excellent, no issues.
unloaded tonque weight in trailer is 739lbs...but I was probably near 850 range with all the junk in front of the trailer. I just hooked up my Equalizer hitch with 7 washers (same as raptor) and it was good to go. Sway was not an issue at all.
I had the chance to do a 300 mile round trip tow with our 34ft Jayco trailer this weekend. Ambient temps were 80f. I have to say I was a little leary towing our trailer which loaded up is around 8500lbs....but it far exceeded my expecations. I was very impressed with how settled it felt on...
Your fine. GM spec allows a 1 qt per 1000 miles.
Dont listen to anyone on here about what they think is normal...unless they are a powertrain engineer for Ford specifically working on the 3.5l EB platform. There have been some cases of Turbos consuming oil on the 17+ Gen 2 3.5l ecoboost...
comptelety different then a 17. Only thing thats the same is they are both 3.5l engines. Block is different, different turbos, heads, oil pan setup, fuel system, ignition system, and intercooler design.
