Thanks ndnplanner, What did you do to convert the front end? BTW I'm trying to lift it 6 inches using a fabtech lift kit but they say it won't work on my vehicle. If I install it my front end will just drop to the ground. I'm wondering if I use a leveling key for the torsion bars, if that would...- onebigtruck

So I want to lift my 1999 EB. But it has air ride. I already ordered the 6" lift from fabtech only to find out it won't work. Does any one know exactly what the difference is? I'm looking to convert from the air ride system to a conventional spring ride. Specifically the front end. It's 4 wheel drive. Can I just take parts off a used standard expedition and put it on mine or is there anything special I need to know? I'm on my way to the junk yard. Thanks- onebigtruck

Maybe if you use a pulley and have the pulley on the stump, once it gives the angle should make it miss the vehicle if it goes flying. Plus you'll increase your pulling power and it slows everything down.- onebigtruck

176,000 miles. So yes, pretty high mileage. I was thinking to do lockers anyway. Guess I'll have to do it sooner than I thought. Thank you- onebigtruck

Hi, I have a 1999 Eddie bauer. There's nothing wrong with it. My question is what type of 4x4 system is it? I know it's auto 4 wheel drive.
