Is there any possible reason Ford can't find engineers who can solve the can phaser and timing issues it's been going on since 2004 that's a little ridiculous don't you think I like the expedition but there so problem ridden the Chevy Tahoe is pretty much the same thing and they have none of...
It wasn't shallow threads those were on the first gen ones. It was exactly the opposite on the 05's and up they used a 2 piece plug which welded itself to the top end they often break on removal from what I understand it's a devestating repair job
Just purchased an 08 with 140000k on it for 2600 it needs brakes which I can do rear struts and new tires and an 02 sensor I hope I'll make out ok with it
I have an 04 expedition and the front body mounts have rusted out I guess this and the radiator supports all rust out in these can anyone tell me what it might cost to have the mounts fixed
Can’t stand either dealers charge $800 an hour just went to a local guy for exhaust work and oil change I Baugh a motorcraft oil filter and he put a generac one in and kept the other one the muffler cost $120 he charged me $250 plus $100 an hour to install it there all thieves it really pays to...
a friend just bought an 06 expedition and it has a switch of some kind on the center console in front of the cup holders does anyone know what it's for
I recently noticed my radiator support is rusted out I used cable ties to Hold it tight to the frame it doesn't move at all now looks like it will last the life of the vehicle
If it's an 04 don't worry to much there very inexpensive to replace I crawled under mine recently and heavy rust was everywhere if you own a Ford where they use salt don't look underneath
The reason to buy a 2wd is there cheaper and you eliminate a lot of maintenance issues. Plus 90% of 4wd's are never used Sally housewife uses these vehicles to shuttle the kids around and go to the grocery store.I live in the Northeast and only used my 4wd once and that was just to see if it worked.
Personally I can't imagine paying 70 grand for a new suv the minute you put the key in and start it you just lost 20grand buy one off a one year lease and let the first owner take the hit..the only way it makes sense is if you make 2 or 3 hundred grand a year and the money means nothing.
I am surprised you have rust issues in CA it's usually road salt that causes the bad rust but if you're going to have rust it's certainly going to be on a Ford.I recently purchased an 04 expedition and didn't look underneath it to well .Bottom line is if you own a Ford don't ever look underneath...
