    '07 Plug replacement

I installed new plugs in my 07 Eddie Bauer at 157,000. Didn't break one plug. Its not as hard as I thought it was going to be. I searched the internet, and asked several mechanics who frequented the NAPA store where I work. The keys are to: 1) Run very heavy on the fuel injector cleaner for...

Can I safely tow a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 2018 Expy Platinum (non-Max)?

I've towed my 2000 Eddie Bauer Explorer on an aluminum trailer with my 2007 Expedition (W/Tow Package) without issue.

    Weird Coolant Leak

I've got a coolant leak that just showed up. Its odd in that the coolant appears to stay in the truck, and works well, until I remove the coolant recovery tank cap (Only access to the coolant system). It then starts to leak from somewhere on the back of the radiator, on the drivers side. Its...

    Air intake question

Nothing major just a simple question. I was under the hood of my 5.4 Expy today and when I pulled the air intake I noticed it had a lot of extra chambers that went no where and were attached to nothing. So what do the extra chambers do? What purpose do they serve? Sent from my SM-S102DL using...

Finally got this beast off road. 16' Platinum

Thats great! and beautiful pics. I took my 07 Eddie Bauer on a couple trails in CO last year. I had to remove the running boards for their own good, but other than that bone stock. I was truly impressed with the AdvanceTrac RSC system. Though the total lack of skid plates kept me wary.

    2007 Expedition wheel upgrade

No, they ride fine. I just prefer the looks of the raptor wheels and all-terrains. Sent from my SM-S102DL using Tapatalk

    2007 Expedition wheel upgrade

LoL I'd love to get rid of my 18" wheels and get a set of raptor style 17" wheels. Sent from my SM-S102DL using Tapatalk

    Tranny temps

If I remember correctly, the OEM cooler with the Tow package is plumbed so that the fluid goes through the cooler, then through the radiator. To me this would have the effect of cooling the transmission fluid, then raising it to roughly the same temp as the engine coolant. (about 190). When I...

    Advance trac acting "odd"

It appears to be temperature related. It only shows up first thing in the morning when it is down in the 50s. All afternoon and evening its fine, drives nice.

    Advance trac acting "odd"

Thanks for the confirmations. I'll get right on getting the codes, and start a visual inspection.

    Advance trac acting "odd"

On my way to work this morning (a short drive in 50 degree weather). Stopped at an intersection, checked traffic and headed out turning left. Heard and felt a noise, got off the gas then all normal. I continued on, but the advance trac symbol was on in my display. No ice obviously, nothing...

    Ford V10 and Expeditions

I used to think of a V10 swap, but if I were to do a swap now, it'd probably be for a Raptor 6.2. Of course, that is a lot of work to. If I were to spend that much time and money on power I'd just bolt on a twin screw blower and call it good.

    audio to the back seats?

    Lift Terminology for noob

Well, though I am far from an expert let's give it a shot. Body lift: using blocks or spacers to raise the body further from the frame. This is generally done to give more room for larger tires, though it does of course also raise the body further from the ground giving better clearance for the...

    Changed my oil today..............

I don't use any lift. The Expedition is high enough I can get under it with no problem, as is my Explorer. Love not having to use ramps or a jack. [emoji16] Sent from my moto g(7) optimo (XT1952DL) using Tapatalk

Sounds like your dealer uses the same policy and procedures mine did. Had the exact same experience when I changed my oil the first time. Sent from my moto g(7) optimo (XT1952DL) using Tapatalk

    Finally got my Expedition

There were no quick disconnect fittings. It was a spring clamp holding a rubber hose to the fitting on the cooler. A simple pair of pliers and it was off. Sent from my moto g(7) optimo (XT1952DL) using Tapatalk

looking for tranny cooler install guide

I was pretty much forced to upgrade the cooler. I bought my 07 to relieve my 00 Explorer of towing duties. The 07 came with the HD towing package. When I found a minor leak in the transmission cooler, I also found that it had been replaced earlier with a smaller (cheaper) standard cooler. I...

looking for tranny cooler install guide

Yes, the cooler does resemble a small radiator. I'm not sure where the fluid runs first, the radiator or the cooler. I'd like the cooler to be the last thing it runs through as that would be more effective. Sent from my moto g(7) optimo (XT1952DL) using Tapatalk

looking for tranny cooler install guide

If there is already a factory cooler there, upgrading to the larger tow package cooler is very easy. Remove the grill, use pliers to loosen the spring clamps on the hoses, remove the old cooler, insert the new cooler, replace the hoses and grill. Sent from my moto g(7) optimo (XT1952DL) using...

    Finally got my Expedition

    Finally got my Expedition

Got the new correct transmission cooler put in. Easiest transmission work I've ever done! Hardest part was removing the grill and that's easy. However checking and adding fluid afterwards was a huge PIA. I ended up adding too much and had to pump some out. What I pumped out looked like over...
