Yeah, that's odd. all three axle ratios were rated at 9000+ (with the rest of the HD towing package) on the 2017 and previous.- Steve in WV

The "HD trailer tow package" is the seven pin connector, trailer brake controller, auxiliary transmission cooler and heavy duty radiator. You can certainly install all of those aftermarket. That's what I did except I skipped the radiator upgrade. It just wasn't needed for the trailer and...- Steve in WV

How long did your OEM tires last?
getting ready to replace the stock wrangler tires on my 2017. 62,000 miles and honestly could have probably gotten a lot more out of them if the pressure had been more diligently monitored. Plenty of tread left in the center but the shoulders are pretty bad.- Steve in WV
