I towed a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 door on an open UHaul car hauler from southern Illinois to North Texas (about 750 miles) back in June.
My Expedition is a 2014 Limited non EL. It towed beautifully.

We bought our 2014 Expedition Limited in June of this year. My wife was used to sliding out of our Avalanche, and sure as heck, this trim piece on the drivers seat broke right away.

I think the frontal area of what you are towing affects mpg also. The whole car and trailer fits behind the expedition lol... i was really happy with the mileage.... way better than the 9 or 10 I was expecting. .This Expedition is 2WD..
I should have been about 5800 total trailer weight...

2014 Short Limited, 57000 miles. 2nd week.owning it.
Pulled very well. Engine never worked hard at all. MPGs were much better than I anticipated. Long highway...
