    Should I Buy a 2024 Expedition?

Yeah, I went out Thursday and came home late on Sat. A rather quick trip to wrap a few things up.

    Should I Buy a 2024 Expedition?

Just got back from a quickie trip to California. 1200+ miles on my going on 6 YO with almost 59K miles. Absolutely flawless and averaged over 19 mpg. She's a good girl! Almost the best vehicle ever.

    TWO YEAR REVIEW

That's awesome and a great story! We have family in "upstate PA" who are third gen farmers. Sadly, the fourth gen doesn't really care about farming, so not sure what's going to happen there.

    TWO YEAR REVIEW

Great news about your girl. Congrats! Mine (The Big Girl) just got a bath yesterday for the first time in months. I forgot how beautiful this thing is clean. Yes, it needs a good clay and wax. We're building a new home and the street isn't paved yet. Just dirt and mud right now. Maybe this...

    Extended warranty……?

I bought an extended after I bought my truck. 5 1/2 years, 57,000 miles later, never used it. I got 6 months to go. Like I've said here before, it's in the top 5 of the BEST vehicles I've ever owned, and I've owned dozens. All that said, if I keep it for another year or two, I will be extending...

    Extended warranty……?

FYI....I understand the prices go up April 4 on Ford ESP's. If you're thinking about it, think fast. Not sure how much the increase is, but.....

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

All the 2023's are heavily discounted. The one blue one is $16K off. How do they do that? That's a little tempting, but I HATE what Ford did the the taillights and grill. They took the classy look away of the 18's and 19's. Now it looks old. My apologizes to those of you who like it and own it...

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

@dlcorbett ...you make a good point. You seem to sit lower in the GM's and the seats are a bit hard. I really like the new QX80, but at a starting price of $88k with AWD and up to over $112K, I'm out. Not to mention the generous dealer add ons and market up

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

That's about where I am. I got a very good offer on a AT4 yesterday. Guy tells me it's for today only! Never in 40+ years of car buying (probably 50+vehicles) have I been told that. I'll make a decision today/tomorrow and if I want to go forward call him Monday. If they don't honor that deal...

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

@BlakeMAX2019 ....I agree with all three of your posts above. Tahoes rode great, but really leaned in turns. I very much liked the Yukons. Both were very quiet inside and smooth. I have a local store calling me once a week lowering their price. I think we're now about as low as they will go...

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

I don't know where you live or where you're shopping, but what I see for Tahoe's and Yukon's in AZ and surrounding areas is full list. Some stores in NM are list plus. A couple of stores in near PHX are discounting around $2000 off on Tahoe's. Tell me where new ones are $10K off please.

My 4 year, 28k review on 2019 Expedition Max Limited

Nice write up. I'll also say that mine, 5 1/2 years old and 56K miles is also, almost, the best vehicle I've ever owned. Part of why I'm having trouble parting with it. Mine is 100% original, including the battery! Truly, no issues, ever! I do wonder if the tranny issue is starting to rear it's...

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

That's my problem too. I don't really want to spend $80K plus. That's why this was SO tempting. $85K list, loaded, a few months old, 9K miles and they were asking $75K. Probably shoulda bought it. Sadly, it's gone!

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

My Local Cadillac/GMC store called me. They just took in a 2023 Tahoe High Country on trade with 9K miles. Lady wanted a diesel and a yukon for her travelling. It's beautiful, literally brand new, and about $10K below what a new one would be. Soooo tempting.

Decision Dilemma: Keeping or Parting Ways with Our 2019 Expedition Max – Seeking Insight and Opinions

Wow. I could have wrote this. Mine is an 18 with 56K. No issues with the cam phasers or tranny yet or turbo waste gates. Maybe I'm just ignoring some of it. I do think the tranny is "starting". I've been kicking around getting something new, but don't like anything really. This past week I drove...

    Timberline vs Z71 Tahoe 6.2

I keep kicking around looking at a Yukon. I don't need a Denali (for $85K+), but would be ok with a SLT. I can order one for about $75K. Stock units near me just aren't as nice as my going on 6 YO Expy. Sunroof optional, power running boards optional, can't even get a leather wrapped steering...

    Window tint update

I don't know what the "new" thinking on tinting sunroofs is, but it used to be not recommended due to possible breakage. Maybe there's newer technology? It really does make sense, especially in the west and south.

110k km and no brake replacement

I think driving style has a lot to do with it. Just had mine in for service (that's another story) at 55,500 miles and I thought they'd get me for brakes, but I'm still good. Getting low, but might be good for another 20K. I'll be looking at tires pretty soon though. For the record, I don't tow...

    Edmunds Comparison

Interesting review, but she is SOOO annoying, I almost turned it off. Unless I glossed over, I don't think she mentioned what trim each was so that could make a difference.

    Edmunds Comparison

GM is doing a refresh for 2025. The Tahoe looks really good IMO, but i haven't seen any pix of the Yukon. The last time I drove one was a 2018 or 2019 Tahoe (rental). It drove horribly. I do want to go look and drive again. Really like the GC and Wagoneer, but reliability just keeps me away.

    Flood Extended Warranty

@ccssid ....All valid points, but if I buy something new/newer, I wouldn't need brakes or tires for several years, and most likely, I wouldn't keep what ever for more than 3 years anyway. I don't normally keep anything for more than two years. At this point, there's really nothing out there that...

    Flood Extended Warranty

@BMW2FORD ....what did you pay? Did you have a previous ESP? I believe if you have a current ESP, they do not charge to inspect your vehicle to "extend" your ESP. I'm SO on the fence as to what to do. My ESP expires in Nov of this year. Think I need brakes and will need tires this summer. I...

Dial Shifter - Let Me Vent!

I like the rotary dial. Had it on my 2015 RAM 1500. I do not like the GM button thingy. I'd probably buy a Yukon today if it weren't for that. The new Traverse and Tahoe/Suburban will switch to a column shifter. I might try to wait for a 25 Tahoe, but I'm sure it'll be stupid expensive when you...

Has anyone had a smooth shifting 10 speed? Do they all do the occasional clunk?

I've had that once, maybe twice. In the garage, shift into reverse to back out and it clunked into R from P. Overall, very quite and smooth.

Has anyone had a smooth shifting 10 speed? Do they all do the occasional clunk?

Just turned 55K on mine. It's always been smooth. Never feel it shift. That being said, on two occasions recently, it seemed hung up in 5th and then it went to 7th. The other day going up a grade, it needed to down shift, and it just wouldn't. I don't know if that's "normal", or the beginning of...
