    I routinely hit 17-20 on the interstate at 80 mph, even with some headwind. A week ago, we had my wife’s forester on the same stretch, same speed, typical headwind- mpg was as low as 14 never hit 20 mpg for a 50 mile stretch.

    Just for the record again, Ford claims for SWB Expedition: 3.73 - 22 mpg 3.31 - 23 mpg but, all the variables described in earlier posts affect your results. I like to use the travel on that right side pedal.

    I replaced my hankooks within three months with Continental terrainContact ATs. Excellent tires. Quiet, good handling, M&S rated. The other Continental “contacts” should work well if you will stay on roads and don’t get snow.
