I got this off of eBay from a very...
I've found service even at Lexus has gone downhill pretty bad over the past year. $100k for an LS500 and the dealer is starting to act like Ford was with the Expedition. Constantly creating new small issues whenever we take the car in for something and ignoring issues.
Maybe they all go to...
These vehicles really do look better with some tire and wheel upgrades. I've seen great examples of 18", 20" and 22" setups. I loved my 18" with the lift, but also loved the 20" wheels in the city. I'd only brave 22" with the CCD suspension.
There is a lot to be upgraded on these for cooling purposes; the turbos run hot. I faced a lot of heat issues when I was in the mountains and started looking into all these options.
We faced so many challenges with the dealer, but the main theme was them always pretending there was nothing wrong while not listening to anything we told them.
A lot of transmission posts on this forum. I don't think there are any upgrades you can make to the transmission, bu there are a lot of issues that people seem to chase regarding software, valves, fluid and other things. Some seem to get quick fixes and others fall into endless chasing with no...
My concern with the plethora of transmission issues on these vehicles is whether or not these issues and/or drive line lash from them may be damaging the motor along the way.
We also had the dealer story that everything was fine and that it was normal, but it wasn't fine. They are lazy and/or uninformed. Really a terrible experience with the Ford dealerships overall.
I suggest you check the transmission fluid levels personally. Our dealer said that the transmission fluid does not need to be checked or changed. We stopped going there.
This could be fluid, software or the valves in the transmission that sometimes need replacment.
That looks great; I bought Bilsteins and then changed my mind to get Icon before ever installing the shocks. I didn't think they would end up lifting it that much; but it's a really good and balanced look.
Moving out of the country and took this lift off. A friend was going to put it on his Expedition but didn't end up making it work. He's selling the Icon components if anybody is interested. His number is 214-458-0340. About 40k miles on the setup. Super clean. He wants $3k.
I did Icon lift and 34s. Couldn't possibly be happier with the results in terms of look and performance. Wish I'd done it all the first week I had the truck.
Quoting my own post with a quick update. This Icon suspension system combined with these tires exceeds expectations. Have had truck on multiple trails in Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. Have had rear wheels in the air and front wheels in the air and traveled washboard roads, rocky hills, deep...
